But if you keep driving down foothill road there are more campsites near Symmes Creek. We found a spot right next to the creek with a small bathing pool. Lovely

Symmes Creek dispersed camping area is gated and closed off. No way to access. As of 3/14/2020

“High Snowmelt Brought DWP Crews Out! ”

I don’t recommend coming here for awhile the snowmelt has been a problem and the DWP crews are working hard to clean up the mess! Probably late summer into fall would be a better time to visit
