It looks to me like this is camping under power lines...BIG power lines...is that so? Or how far away.

There are sites all around the lake and most will accommodate big rigs. We have a 43’ fifth wheel Pros: - free - easy access - Beautiful campsites - quiet except a little road noise (of course it gets louder the closer you get to the freeway) - picnic tables and fire pits - some sites are near pit toilets and a dumpster - boat acces... more

- Beautiful campsites
- quiet except a little road noise (of course it gets louder the closer you get to the freeway)
- picnic tables and fire pits
- some sites are near pit toilets and a dumpster
- boat access
- pets controlled or on leash

We got in late and had no issues finding this place, we have a 26ft camper and there was plenty of room! Very close to the highway so it was a great overnight stop and a beautiful place to wake up to! There is a vault toilet and the place is taken care of

Not too far from the freeway. It was white noise at times. The island was small with only one other camper. The dirt road going in was not bad at all. We will stay here again

Beautiful location on a lake with massive amounts of space to camp. Everyone has a ton of room. We came in on Saturday afternoon and was worried we wouldn't find a spot but there's a lot of room and many families out here camping along the lake. Would highly recommend. Beautiful location on a lake with massive amounts of space to camp. Everyone has a ton of room. We came in on Saturday afternoon and was worried we wouldn't find a spot but there's a lot of room and many families out here camping along the lake. Would highly recommend. Swings for kids, dock and boat ramp. No dump station or water so come prepared. It's free and a blessing to stay here. Keep it clean so we can continue to enjoy the land! Very close to Highway but not a bother with noise.

There's camping all around the lake. Clean And peaceful area. Good roads, not manypeople. We would have stayed longer but traveling through. Very nice place. No Cell or very limited service.Dry camping.!

A lovely place! Very large area on a very large reservoir. No specific assigned spaces in the loop we were in, just fire rings and picnic tables randomly scattered in the grass. A lovely place! Very large area on a very large reservoir. No specific assigned spaces in the loop we were in, just fire rings and picnic tables randomly scattered in the grass. No camp host anywhere that we saw. Place has a boat launch, playground, big picnic pavilion and probably restrooms, although we are self-contained so we never looked. The spot on the grass we scouted was so level we didn’t even have to unhook. We were the only overnight campers, there were maybe two or three trucks hauling boats that went in and out, and one family in a car stopped to fish for a bit. Cell signal was excellent, streamed Netflix with no problem. Quiet, peaceful place, would definitely visit again if in the area.

I’m chasing bird migration this time of year and found some great species here. It was very quiet and beautiful. The GPS routing on this link takes you to the spot where another reviewer observed power lines, but there are plenty of other spots to camp before and after this one so start looking for the signs and driveways to the camp... more
I’m chasing bird migration this time of year and found some great species here. It was very quiet and beautiful. The GPS routing on this link takes you to the spot where another reviewer observed power lines, but there are plenty of other spots to camp before and after this one so start looking for the signs and driveways to the campsites once you get off the freeway.
There were maybe four other parties camping, felt totally safe here alone.

Sweet Briar Lake was beautiful. We stopped here while crossing North Dakota from Minnesota. There are tons of spots and the lake is beautiful.
