“Great Place close to Scamp”

Overall Rating

This is the place to go after you have picked up your new Scamp or if you are returning to the mothership to have service/upgrades done to your Scamp. They are a little pricey, but it is the perfect place to test out your Scamp to make sure that everything works well. If there is a problem with your Scamp, it is only a couple miles away from here and you can easily get it fixed. One note, as of Jan. 2023, this place is now called Sunset Pines and is run by different people. It is still an awesome campground and the new owners/caretakers are very good. You just may need to search for “Sunset Pines Backus MN” to find them. Enjoy your stay! We certainly do-BOTH times we have stayed there!

“Nice convenient to Scamp factory”

Overall Rating

We pick the campground because it was close to the Scamp factory. We stayed there the night we picked up our new Scamp travel trailer. Family owned business. Owners are friendly and helpful. To get to the rv sites you need to drive down a steep narrow gravel road. Half of the sites are permanently parked rvs. We had a nice view of the lake. Sites are level but hookups are on the curb side. Water and elect only but they have a dump site. Laundry facilities available. Shower and flush toilets are clean.
