FR409 road was easy to drive on and area offers a variety of campsites. From among trees, out in the meadows, or up high overlooking the landscape. Great options for starlink reception.

“Nice camping overlooking the valley”

FR 409 is gated on this end and is closed during poor weather. It is well maintained and the first sites are at the crest of the hill. It is 13 miles long and loops back to Three Forks Highway east of this entrance. The first left fork leads into the woods and ends in a large open site.

Past that is a large field with camping to the left and right. This area is perfect for solar or Starlink rigs. We noted a large class A in the area during our visit. The field to the left is a pull through with roads leading further back into the area.

More semi-wooded sites can be found along the road.

I had one bar of Verizon 4G in this area.
