We chose site 12 which was close to one of the two bathhouses. Our site was relatively flat with minor sloping for our teardrop camper. The picnic table, fire ring and grill were situated on a slight hill at our site. The bathrooms were decent..old and dated and not sparkling clean, but very acceptable. The shower was nice and hot. There are only two toilets and one shower stall in the bathhouse. It was only about a mile from the highway and very easy to find.

Nice night of camping at Sugar Hollow. A couple of areas with what looked like full time campers. Quiet, no problems. Electricity at every site. Picnic table and fire ring. Home Depot down the street had no firewood. Very close to lots of stores including a Walmart. Just keep following the signs for camping. Gate is closed at 9pm, although it is just clipped together and you can come and go as you wish. Connected to a large park for hiking or dog walking. Super nice Camp Host.

We’ve been here 3 times, including Memorial Day weekend and there are always spots available. It’s quiet and shaded which we like. This is a city park so you can hear some noise from the road and occasionally a train in the distance. For us, this place is just so convenient for a quick camping trip. The sites all have electric, but not all have water. Water hookups are located sporadically through the campground. There are a lot of hiking trails, but they are poorly marked. The marsh area and the pine forest are easy enough, but we’ve gotten turned around in the trails right off the campground and looking for the cave. The map was not up to date either. There is a playground and creek by the big picnic shelters. Rangers are not that helpful, but friendly. An ice cream truck drives through everyday in the summer too. Overall we are very pleased with this little campground for a quick, family getaway.

Make sure you have a long hose for water, as the water- is shared by several sites via hose end spliters on the water pumps. Some sites have cable, but the one we were one did not. we did have wonderful wi=fi connection which was free. There are 2 bath houses for the 75 sites.
For a rest in our travels this place was a wonderful hidden gem.

Even though this site is right in town the park is nestled in the woods right in between easily accessible nature trails. We camped here during the off season so it was very quite and nice! The campground felt very secluded for late September.
Come prepared with a full fresh water tank though. The sites don't have water hook ups (but do have water stations throughout the park) There is also a dump station towards the exit. Longer rigs might have a bit of a challenge in here too. Our 35' rig couldn't make one of the tight turns in the very back of the park, so had to head down the opposite direction in a one way to get turned around.
For the price you can't go wrong with this park. Only negatives are: sites tend to be very un-level, no water hook ups, and some tight corners. I could care less about not having septic on site when staying less than a week, especially with showers and bathrooms close by.
We had good LTE Coverage with AT&T, but couldn't pick up the campground WiFi even though we where very close to the router at the "comfort station".
I would advise the park Rangers to be mindful of the size of peoples rigs and suggest locations in the park accordingly. But the Ranger that checked us in was VERY friendly. Probably the nicest ranger we have encountered.
Also, CASH ONLY!!!! Thankfully we had $20 on us so we paid for one night, and then paid for the next two after hitting up an ATM in town.
