This is a nice campground for folks wanting to hike to Strawberry Lake. There are two campgrounds back down the road that are much more accessible--McNaughton Spring and Slide Creek (although just a few sites). You absolutely do not want to take a trailer up to Strawberry, unless it's very tiny, with high clearance and pulled by a ve... more

We arrived here late afternoon and found the first site beyond the bridge was perfect for our 29 ft trailer (The road beyond the horse camp is not suitable for trailers).
