This is a nice campground for folks wanting to hike to Strawberry Lake. There are two campgrounds back down the road that are much more accessible--McNaughton Spring and Slide Creek (although just a few sites). You absolutely do not want to take a trailer up to Strawberry, unless it's very tiny, with high clearance and pulled by a vehicle with 4x4, it's a very rough road. The sites in the campground are small with not a lot of privacy. The trailhead parking is directly adjacent, with room for about a dozen vehicles. Zero cell with US Cellular. If we come to this area again we will camp back down the road.

We were the only ones in this area. It was quiet and so relaxing. Access to the creek was through thick brush and not worth the effort.
The drive up to Strawberry Lake trail head is bumpy, but very accessible even for small cars as we saw many there.
The hike to the lake is about a mile in. The view is stunning. There is a nice path around the entire lake that did take some log crossing at times due to high water in spots. A few people have carved benches and made nice fire pits for camping.
Definitely take the hike up to the falls. Well worth it. We were unable to make it to Little Strawberry Lake due to snow making the trail difficult to locate. We will definitely go back in August to see it though.
The kids found several painted rocks that they collected to pass on at another location for others to find.
