Clean and well staffed. I’m here in early June so the campground is not completely full yet. There are 2 sets of restrooms and showers so it may be a walk from some sites. Nice gravel sites. Good sized laundry. Free shuttle service supplied by the ferry services to the docks for a trip to Mackinac Island.

There is a two dollar a day per pet fee even if you stay in your own camper. Payed 60.50 a night for a water and electric site. I would not stay again.

Ours wasn't (and two others near us0 didn't have seasoned wood and it was wet - waste of money. Hard to find spots in the area - so... Showers were clean and hot.

Pull-through. Water and electric only (50 amp). Site #71
This is our 2nd stay here. Still a nice spot to be but nothing all that great.
THE GOOD
Location: Close to town, gas, groceries, and restaurants.
Shuttle: Ferry shuttle picks you up right from the KOA and will also drop you off back at your site when returning.
Sites: Good sites pull-through sites with trees and grass.
Wifi: Campground WiFi works well.
Amenities: Playground, putt-putt golf, showers, and laundry were decent.
THE BAD
Site: The water hookups are oddly placed and folks can't seem to agree on which spouts to use. You likely need long hoses depending on the site.
NOT GOOD OR BAD:
Cell service: Neither Verizon or AT&T are that strong here.
Environment: Touristy. But, it makes sense for thee area.

We stayed in mid/late May and had site 123. The park was quite empty, and I'm certain this added to our experience.
The sites are close, some much more than others. The park is definitely trying to squeeze out every possible site they can, and doing this will be a detriment to some visitors. They were actively working on new sites during our stay.
For example, they are forgetting about or disregarding slide-outs. I saw some sites where a fire in the assigned fire pit would most definitely result in heat damage to the neighbors camper (slide).
You should also make sure you have extension power cords and water hoses unless you already know your site layout. My power box was a bit away from my power hookup, and our water hookup was on the complete opposite side and end of our campers hookup. This resulted in having to have the waterhose running through our camp (not the biggest deal, but still).
The sites are mostly gravel. Ours was not level, but it didn't take too much to get there.
The owners have definitely put money and effort into the park. Your typical KOA style glamping tents and cabins are present. There's a small put-put course, a jumping pillow, and playground up front. There's a small dog run and gazebo meeting area as well.
There were two shower houses, but the back shower house was closed during our stay. The park offered to move us closer to the front, but we did not need the shower house.
Highway noise is prevalent, and due to how the park is situated, I don't believe there would be an area where it wasn't. This wasn't a big deal for us, but this isn't the "nature" park some people seek. I liked the convenience offered more since we were in the area to see other sites rather than for a nature camping getaway.
A shuttle service is offered for the ferry, and it was convenient. The camp store sells the tickets for $2 off the normal price. On the topic of the camp store, this is an area for improvement. While it's stocked enough to he considered a camp store, I think more is expected from a KOA holiday location. I think you'll find the bare necessities you may have forgotten, though.
Overall, I wouldn't say this was a bad experience, and if the conditions are right, it's a good place to stay. I would not book during traditionally busy times of year, though.

Checked in 7 days prior to the closing of the campground for the season. The night we came in was cold and rainy. Grabbed our info sheet from the after hours box and headed to our sight… only needed one yellow bock under each tire on one side so not too bad for finding level… our site was a premium patio with fire pit site and it was perfect for us. My only complaint is that the fire pit needs better airflow. Due to being late in the season the staffing/ store is a little short but still very accommodating.
If it wasn’t for the fact that we are so late in the season I might of done some searching to find a different location but this was very convenient and still more then did the job.

THE GOOD
Clean campground.
Location: Close to groceries, restaurants, and gas.
Sites: Nice spots in the trees.
Amenities: They do offer pump-out services, just in case you are not at a full hookup site.
WiFi: Campground WiFi was actually not bad, even when the campground was full. We were able to work on it.
Cell: Verizon was slightly stronger than AT&T, but both worked well.
THE BAD
Sites: Not the worst but really not level. All grass/dirt sites.
WORTH NOTING
Our power pedestal went out. The campground did their best to give us a temporary scenario, as the issue was specific to our pedestal, and not the campground as a whole.

It’s a pretty big koa with lots of trees. Clean. A bit rustic and/or need of tlc. Some sites are really tight for big rigs.
Very quiet.
Cell coverage Is iffy….

Stayed two nights here. Was able to buy tickets to the Mackinac Island ferry and it was close by. Great swimming beach just 10 minutes past the KOA on Lake Michigan. We played putt putt one night as well! Not many sites with full hookups but two dump stations.
