We stayed here as a convenient overnight stop for visiting a relative in nearby retirement village. The park and campground were nice enough, but $51 (base price + taxes + a huge $10+ reservation fee) seemed steep for a basic campsite without hookups.

Stayed easter weekend, arrived Friday afternoon.
Only open on weekends until May (I believe), then all week.

Beautiful park with easy access off of the 101, right on the edge of town with food, laundromat, fuel, big box stores. The park is surprisingly quiet at night however it very seems popular for day use and the lake walk was crowded. However again, we stayed during Easter weekend so it's no surprise.
The trees are stunning but that means the vast majority of spots are shady and thus solar will suffer greatly. I had to run my generator for about an hour on the third day. Generator hours per a sign are. 0800-2000, quiet time starts at 2200.
Cell coverage was ok at best with a ceel booster I had intermittent 5g/LTE occasionally cutting out all together (T-Mobile). As soon as you exit the tree line it seems to improve to stable 5g.
Dump on site, I haven't noticed water, no hookups at site.

Oaks and open space with roomy campsites and a gorgeous lake just below. This is a busy park, so don't look for a backwoods experience. Also the route to the campground in not well marked. You will need to go in the south entrance to the park. Other than that, what a great perch on the edge of wine country!

Overall: what a GEM!!! We ended up changing our route home last minute, and I managed to find the LAST site available at this lovely regional park in Santa Rosa. Definitely not that far off the 101 (maybe about 15 minutes) and like you are in another WORLD!!! It is SUPER quiet (of course lots of kiddos playing and what not - but you can hear the crickets no problem) - simply nothing negative to say. EXCEPT: we arrived around 7pm, and left early the next morning. We know it gets HOT HOT HOT here, so we imagine the mosquito situation would NOT be enjoyable nor would the hot temps had we been here mid afternoon. So take note! The sunsets were AHMAZING!!! And, can I mantion the incredibly cool industrial-style cabins they have??? They also include a long countertop outside with plenty of prep space and BBQ! SO cool! Pictures attached! Arrival was simple with an incredibly friendly camp host right as you pull in to the campground. The Spring Lake is a peek-a-boo from quite a few sites, including our Site 17. I mean, BARELY visible - but I'll take it! Just knowing the lake was there was great! ESP in DRY CA!!! Surprisingly, they were allowing fires here. We're not so sure we are okay with that, but I won't lie that the fires glistening amongst the vibrant sunset WAS beautiful. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Probably wouldn't stay in the heat of summer -- I imagine renting out one of those super incredible cabins in late Fall would be AHMAZE.Definitel coming back!

The adjacent reservoir is surrounded by a large natural area & has a 2.3 mile path around it for a pleasant stroll to stretch your legs or walk your dog. Proximity to town or the surrounding wine regions can’t be beat. We saw wild turkeys and deer on our walks and enjoyed peaceful, restful nights. All in all, I would recommend.

The camp hosts were very friendly and we felt very covid safe here. Even down at the lake most people were wearing masks or put them on when they got close to you. Lots of trails to explore and the scenery was beautiful. Good bird watching!

Our site was plenty large enough for our trailer and truck. Some of the sites looked pretty short. I don't think anything too large would fit in here. We did have to level a bit side to side. Bathrooms are very tired and old, but clean. It was a good location for exploring the area. The coast is within an hour and Armstrong Woods is a great place to see redwoods. Good ATT cell service.

This is a county park on the edge of Santa Rosa located adjacent to Annadel State Park. Since Annadel State park doesn’t allow camping, this is a good location for visiting Annadel or any of the surrounding wineries.
The bathrooms were clean, but old. The women’s room floor was always wet because one or more of the toilet supply lines were leaking water. Like the bathrooms the showers were clean, but old. The showers cost two dollars for five minutes and a quarter for each minute more. There is an outlet in the bathroom in case you need to use a hair dryer.
The showers required a passcode for use and there were signs in the bathroom not to leave any valuables unattended. This left me feeling a little unsafe, but we had no issues.
There was a lot of foot traffic through the campground during the day with locals using the park for exercise. We stopped here because we had planned on mountain biking in Annadel State park. Over half of Annadel State Park was closed as a result of the wildfires earlier in the year. If you plan on using the park, you may want to verify it has been reopened.
Since the campground is right on the edge of Santa Rosa, our cell service was good in our site and didn't seem to be an issue anywhere in the park.
