We loved our stay at Oasis State Park. We chose this spot as it was on our way from Austin, TX to Moab, UT. Sites were huge and shady with covered picnic tables. Many sites had windbreaks near the tables, as well. Spotless restroom/shower facilities, although they could use shower curtains to alleviate the shower overspray. We just stayed one...

This was the perfect place for a one-night stop after exploring the park. There are a few sites with 30 amp service right outside the park gates, in the gift shop parking lot, for $25. I believe the museum parking lot across the street is free but no hookups. No extras but was safe, quiet, affordable, and convenient.

We had a great stay here and would definitely come again. You can’t beat this price or access to the Grand Canyon (plus it’s pet friendly!). Easy walking or shuttle access to trails including the South Rim; restaurants, groceries, and coffee shop at the Yavapai Lodge (lots of options, including gluten free); and nature paths (lots of wild elk!)...

We too are puzzled by the bad reviews of this place. It's a small park - about 45 spots. Most of the spots have shade of some sort which is nearly impossible to find in the Phoenix valley.
