Cell service was one bar and you have to pay for WiFi.

We have had so many mixed emotions about this campground. The grounds are amazing. Acres and acres of fields and lakes to enjoy. We can walk the dogs and let them off leash to play in the fields everyday without anyone in sight in every direction. The staff is nice. When we got here, we could not level our 42-foot class A on the site we were on. They accommodated us to a different site which worked great. The campground is very quiet, while some dogs to bark through windows, all in all the grounds are very quiet. Especially at night. Each site has a firepit. Most have a picnic table (ours did not).
The bad: there are only two rows of full hookup, everyone else are just electric/water. This was new to us, and we have decided we are not a waste toting family. More power to you if you don’t mind it. There are also a lot of permanent residents. I would guess between 30 to 50% are here year-round. I personally think these sites are not designed to accommodate full timing. Some have a very clean setup and design. Others resemble what cousin Eddie would have.
The ugly: After asking advice from several campers, they just dump their grey water on the ground. I find this disgusting and after they told me I watched and confirmed a large portion of the permanent residents in the non-FHU just dump under their rig for their grey water. The second ugly is VERY few dog owners clean up after their dogs. I have never personally seen a group of people just collectively decide this is OK. Poop everywhere. Plus, there is a large number of geese that also leave fun land mines around. If you stay here and walk your dog at night. Take a flashlight so you don’t step on a K9 Land mine. Our personal experience also had a neighbor that would allow their dog to poop in our communal area UNDER our slide. They never picked them up and the final day they were here there were 5 piles of poop.
This campground has so much potential. But we will never be back. Hate to say it, feel like we are being snobby. But for $700 a month for a campground with zero amenities and a non-FHU lot… feel like they need to put more effort into the grounds.
Their bathrooms are porta potties at the edge of the campground. There are no showers, no laundry. There is a playground for children that is oddly about 200 feet from the campgrounds. They do have a small store, but I believe it is mostly focused on the daily fishing services they offer.
@ 700 a month for a site and 40(ish) sites. They can afford to at least put in a shower house and a laundry mat for the guests who have to struggle with no sewer.

Campground has new owners, looks like they have been doing some upgrades. Sites have been re-done, new picnic tables, new check in building and playground for the kids. Very quiet lake front site, enjoyed the fishing...will be back.

Not sure when or why this place was loud per other reviews. It was dead silent when we stayed. They do now have online booking and you can pay with a CC.
Pros: clean, quiet, tons of beautiful lake, easy to park and mostly flat sites (easy to level)
Cons: pay for wifi?, spots are pretty stacked together.

We camp a lot and this place was the worst we have ever been in. No bath house or shower. An over flowing porta potty that was the only option. Called the office on a separate question left a message and no response. A lot of long term campers here with some very disorganized camp sites.

Cons: regular gunshots in three directions during the day, sites were dirt and not level, loud music during the day and even late at night, some of the long-term sites were pretty scruffy. No amenties besides the partial hookups—no fire pits, tables, etc.

There are some long term residents with a few that are a bit run down, but most are well cared for. Other reviewers have noted that this place tends to get boisterous and loud on the weekends, but we found it to be quiet and peaceful (at least while we were here). The grounds are well cared for by the onsite hosts. We stayed here in a 41' coach with a toad and had no problems getting to or around the campground. We would stay here again.
