“Loved the lake and chance to "unplug"”

The first thing potential campers should know is there is absolutely no cell service. But there is free public wifi near the beach. This wasn't a problem for us. We very much enjoyed "unplugging"!
Check in was fast and the campsites are easy to find. We had a van so it was pretty easy to navigate the narrow, sometimes steep and windy loops. I'd personally be nervous with a big rig but other sites had large campers in them.
Absolutely loved the public beach and opportunity to rent kayaks, paddle boats, stand up boards, etc. Nice sand, jumping dock, and also grass to lay out on. There is free public wifi at the beach area too. We rented a boat and saw a beautiful loon couple diving and coming back up all around the lake. Sooo picturesque!
Sites were very clean and spacious but most are pretty close together. As an older couple without children, we would have preferred more privacy and less noise but there are a couple sites we scoped out that are more secluded that we would pick instead next time.
Very friendly staff. We asked questions about the seasonal job positions and how the rooftop hot water system works on the bathhouses and they were super informative and happy to share info. It shows that the staff is proud to work there.
We gave 4 stars just because of the proximity of campsites to each other and noise. I think we were just unlucky to have a few inconsiderate neighbors but it's not the fault of the park.

The above statement only applies to wood from outside of VT. This is the official wording right off the park website "Firewood is not to be brought to parks from out of state UNLESS the wood is packaged, labeled as having been heat treated, and certified by USDA or the"
