Should have completely read prior review. Following google maps when heading north has you get off at landfill. This takes you to a 5 mile dirt road which is very slippery when wet. Get off further north for paved roads. At camping area top of site is small parking area. Very muddy in wet weather. Road goes in further down narrow steep incline to beautiful flat area. RVs should not try going down hill, nor should cars/vans in wet weather, or possibly not at all without, at least, all wheel drive. Parking area borders residential area right next to houses. Thousands of rusted tin cans off of parking area—I guess recycling is not a thing here. Otherwise, a quiet night and would stay here again.

The GPS will give you the option to get off 93 at the landfill exit but that will give you a few miles of dirt road to travel. It's well maintained and still driveable for most rigs but there is a pretty significant dip in the road that you might drag on. Better bet would be to take the paved road straight into chloride, then you're only on dirt for the last 30 seconds.
That being said, I wouldn't really consider this a camping site. It's a dirt clearing very close to the run-down town that wouldn't be able to accommodate many rigs at once, though I doubt it ever gets crowded. It would suffice for an overnight stop but I wouldn't want to stay longer than that. I was out scouting the area and am glad I did before bringing my camper back here. There are many dirt roads in the area that might lead to better spots but none that I felt like exploring because the Verizon service was 1 bar and I needed a stronger connection for work.

Just stayed one night. A lot of broken glass everywhere along with trash. Not a good place if you have kids or dogs.

Chloride is said to be the oldest continually inhabited town in Arizona. This small community is nested up against the Cerbat Mountains and still has many interesting buildings and rustic yard art collections. Lots of old junk, but not the depressing kind. Service at the little market was very friendly and there’s still a post office. I drove out 2nd street past the cattle guard and first parking area, but the road was tougher than I cared to navigate so I turned around and found a spot at the first turnout. Plenty of old tin cans and broken glass, but mostly not right in the parking area. There’s a large flat area just beyond the first, but it’s definitely 4WD territory. There’s probably more access, it’s almost all public land. We had a quiet night, zero traffic noise, woke up to one other vehicle there. Heard many coyotes, saw lots of birds and bunnies. It’s not fancy, but I’d come back and take a little more time in town or check out the nearby murals and petroglyphs.

Converted Skoolie 38ft long Didn’t go to far into the BLM road may be some good spots farther in we pulled in just past the cattle guard not perfectly level but it worked for a night. Looks like some old miner camp used to be near with all the old tin rusting in piles in the bush. But I love that kind of stuff.
