We had a perfect site up on a hill overlooking the lake. It was quiet except for a neighbor a bit away that decided to run their generator 24/7.... who does that? But a stunning place with gorgeous views all around! The reservoir was so cool and clean for swimming. Sunrises and sunsets, tranquility....

We were looking for an overnight spot and found one with a lake view, dump station, and our Labs made a splash in the lake. Great location lots of hiking, quiet and Wyoming wind. The sites are either pull-though or back-ins closer to the lake. all seem to have picnic table and fire pits which we did not use due to those winds. The entrance station staff was great with a few suggestions if we were to stay longer. We had a deer walk through our site while we were taking care of some outdoor chores and what a sunset over the lake.

“Horrible ”
noted 8/27/2024
We made reservations for 2 nights at site 15 for a Saturday & Sunday. Upon arrival there was someone in our site. We called the after hours number asking for assistance and it went to a voicemail, called the reservation phone number no answer. We could not find a ranger anywhere or a camp host we even went to park headquarters hoping for a phone number. Nothing. Finally as we were going to leave and someone was at the site and we very friendly mentioned that was our site and had confirmation of paying for it. The camper was rather standoffish and just said it was his and became confrontational. We left feeling very uncomfortable and shaken.
