It's right next to a busy 4-lane road with active railroad tracks immediately across the street. I was concerned my catalytic converters may be gone in the morning! Loud all night, but passed out at 11pm from exhaustion. Woke at 7am to a loud train. It had a full T-Mobile 5G signal. If you can stand the loud traffic, and are comfortable with total darkness in a bust, active area, it's worth a look. I would stay again in a pinch only, hey, it's free!!!

I'm going to Organ Pipe Cactus NM in the morning, 77miles south of here. If I was in a caravan I would have stayed on the blm land near Ajo AZ. But my friend was delayed and will meet me here tomorrow.

Everyone should be happy to know that the cattle guards at the entrance to the parking lot have been removed.

The lot was well lit, and you are a bit lower in elevation from the highway so the noise from the highway wad not bad. But the noise that did drive me crazy was there is a cattle guard in the toad right in front of the station and all night long as the big rigs drove over it there would be:
CLANG..CLANG………..CLANG
As their 3 pairs of tires drove over it. We are in a Winnebago Travato van and I could hear it all night, although it did not bother my husband. Other than that it was a fine site, but that was enough to drive me crazy!

The parking lot is paved and level with no damage, there is a building close to the truck stop that I could see restroom signs on the doors but I didn’t check to see if open. Very little road noise (died down by 10 PM) and some train noise. There is a large sign that says truck parking, no other signs posted.

Felt a little strange being surrounded by 18 wheelers but it’s free and there weren’t a lot of choices. Still, the Sonoran dessert provided a beautiful sunset. Plenty of room to park your rig wherever in the large parking lot. Traffic noise is a given as it is a truck stop.

Easy access, proximity to services, uncrowded and surprisingly quiet. It wasn't my plan to hang out here for 2 nights but a conveniently timed water heater breakdown did the trick. The lot has several dozen large pull-through sites, is nearly level, landscaped and very clean. The truckers tend to congregate behind the Pilot on the other side of the Shell service station, so no idling engines all night. The views to the north are unobstructed views of the Gila Mountains. If you are between stops on I-8 or headed to or from Organ Pipe, this is a convenient stopover with fuel, food, water, propane, dumpsters and free parking. Oh, and terrific cell coverage with Verizon (26 down & 11 up), AT&T (33 down & 22 up - Nighthawk) and T-Mobile (17 down & 17 up) all without a booster.
