Wifi was available but pretty spotty at our site. Cable TV comes with site but pretty static like. We visited nearby Lewis and Clark Center.

Office woman was so nice, even calling to check on our location when we were late. Quiet hours greatly appreciated. Beautiful grounds, very green and shady.

Had the most grass of any campground we’ve visited. Clean sites, well manicured. Right on the river. We’re only here for a night - wished we had this closer to home.
Called earlier in the same day and was able to secure a spot for the night. No hassle getting checked in - they left everything on the mailbox.

Have to echo Iowa Pete. Stopped for the night on the way North. What a great municipal campground. Friendly staff, nice sites, reasonable rent. Full hook-ups with cable or if you want it just electric. Up to you. Easy in and out. Quiet. Restful.

Stayed here in August, 2020. Rate reflects a weekly rate discount. This park is easily accessible from I-29. Roads to the park and inside the park are a breeze to negotiate. Very helpful staff here. We were assigned site #126 which was out in the northeast section of the campground which, unlike the other section of the park, is an open area with full hookups. Little to no shade here, but our spot was so large and at the edge of our loop it allowed for a degree of privacy as well. Our site was a level gravel pad with an enormous adjoining concrete slab. Bath houses, while clean, were fairly dated. There is a dump station, oddly situated on the west end of the park. The park has a huge complex of soccer fields. There is also a walking path which seemingly goes on for miles. We walked it often and never did find a logical end to the trail. All utilities worked as they should and there were dozens of cable channels as well. The Interstate and a train track are across the river and can both be heard here. The train crosses the river on the far west side (well beyond the camping area) of the park and runs quite often, unfortunately. There is abundant dining and shopping not only right in South Sioux City, but in Sioux City, Iowa (across the river) as well. In addition, there is a Hard Rock Casino about 2 miles from the park, if you are into that sort of thing.
We found some awesome hiking at Stone State Park in nearby North Sioux City, Iowa as well. We made good use of those trails during our stay.
A good deal for the price. We would stay here again.

Office lady was very nice and helpful. Made advanced reservation on the phone and paid ahead of time. Pulled in and she came out to car with an information packet and directed us to our space. Nice scenery by the river but a very pungent awful smell in the air like dead chickens. Full service, quiet and convenient. Would return.

Paid $25 for spot 91. Electric only 50a/30a. We were allowed to dump using the communal station with no additional cost but it was jammed up with leaves that I wasn’t cleaning out. Not a huge deal considering the time of year.
A few run-down full-time RV neighbors with unfavorable dog types.
Very friendly front office.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Good spot for an overnight stay. Stayed on a rainy day and the gravel base was a little loose requiring us to use leveling pads unt the wheels to stop the slight sinking in the gravel.
Could not get away from highway traffic or train whistles wherever I stayed from NJ to Yellowstone.

Very convenient campground right in heart of South Sioux City It was clean and well maintained, and we liked staying here. In late Sept the campground was not full and our site (#38) was down near the river so we had a view of the river and at night we saw the city lights in the distance which was very picturesque. Our campsite had a concrete pad (back in) and we asked for just electricity and water - which was reasonable at $27/night. FHU sites are available. We found that it was a quiet campground and we did not hear freeway noise from across the river. There is a train whistle in the distance but it also was not bothersome. The restrooms with showers were very clean. There was a firepit and picnic table at the site although it was too windy the day we were there to use them. The campsites are not jammed together and there are trees throughout the campground which would provide some shade in summer. There aren't many campgrounds near Sioux City, so this is a great option when in the area. The campground is right next to a large YMCA facility with a big swimming pool which might be available to campers (families with kids), and there are miles of walking trails. Highly recommend.
