In general the sites are very close. We have no living space on our camp side because the neighbors pedestal is at our door. The sewer connection to our site was closed pipes over to the same neighbor, leaving a sewer pipe in our “yard” and their connection.
Tonight we tried to use the cable, but it did not work with a “know connection”, so that is one more thing making this a less than enjoyable place to stay.
Very disappointing

I know that this park has been purchased by spacious skies and they are making improvements but this is in my eyes not a resort. Sites are very close together and dirt/sand sites. The electric at our site was not even on a breaker. Our site was obviously next to a long term resident. I have no problem staying in a park with long term residents but I feel they should maybe separate out the long term from short term stays. The bathhouse looks to have been remodeled fairly recently but it was pretty gross. Passable for a place to shower but I did so in flip flops. It also smelled like wet cigarettes. In my eyes a “resort” should offer more than a pool and full hookups.
The arcade consisted of a few old video game machines. I do not feel like it was worth the 55/57 per night we paid.

The park was easy to find. It is located about 8 miles off of Rt 16 on Old River Road. There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. We were escorted to our site. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are a mix of pavement, some gravel but mostly sandy dirt. And before I go any further. If you are anticipating this place to be a neat, well groomed resort, then this is not for you.
Our site, 33, was a dirt pull through that was plenty long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water, sewer and cable) were to the left side but the power pedestal said we were in site 208. The post that supported the water had a small 33 attached. There is a mish mosh of cable connections none of which worked. And while on the subject of cable and wiring, there is loose wires in many places including one that was partially hidden across the grass near the lower shower building that I tripped on. Distancing is very close for a rural park. Each site has an old table but NO fire pit or patio. Our site was flat but covered in cigarette buts, leaves, trash, and fallen bits of branches. No attempt was made to make the site presentable prior to our arrival. We cleaned it ourselves. Our first impression of the park was that it was dump and we had booked the wrong park given all of the raving reviews we saw. We weren’t far off.
This park does have many amenities that are required to be a “resort”. There is a pool (closed during our stay), small rec room/arcade, laundry facilities, basket ball hoop, playground, fishing, boat launch, a well stocked store etc. They do require their guest’s units to be factory built and not ragged looking (No converted busses or survival trailers please). Incredible since the place is a dump. The park is divided into two sections. The lower section is prone to flooding but is much quieter than the upper. The upper is close to a busy road and it does get quite loud but neither has any decent sites. There are a few in the upper with a concrete pad (just wide enough for the rig) but no patio or grass to enjoy an outdoor experience. It would be better if the concrete was used as a patio and have a dirt pad. Many sites are buddy and very close so there is no privacy at all.
The park included wifi worked somewhat well for basic browsing and e mail on occasion. But, for the most part, it was even difficult just to log on. Clearly some users were streaming and no attempt was made to curtail this use. Our Verizon Cell showed barely one bar thus we could not use our phone as a hot spot. If you want or need wifi this place is not for you. The cable TV was inoperable because we were told the supply source was damaged as a result of an automobile accident. We did find some OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult in many areas. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them up to date and clean as was the laundry.
With a lot of TLC, landscaping, planting of shrubs and grass, a lot of gravel and just taking some pride of ownership, this park could become into a more pleasant place to hang one’s hat and deserve the resort label.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores etc. We needed to be at this park for 10 days and found that after four we really wanted to leave. There has never been an attempt to beautify the place and it became hard to look at. If you are looking for a base to use visiting Savannah’s points of interest that’s about all it is good for. We paid $35.00 per night (weekly) then the normal rate of $47.10 per night inc GS discount after that. We will never be back even for a short time.

This is an awesome spot. We full time travel and it’s honestly probably my favorite Rv resort thus far. It’s decently sized and the scenery is amazing. Lots of mature, moss covered oak trees! The pool is quite big and very very clean and has recent upgrades. They have a small gym with some basic equipment that we used a lot. It was nice having an air conditioned area to work out. The store has a nice selection of products from beer and wine to hand scooped ice cream and dog treats. There is a nice laundry area that also has a pool table and some arcade games. There is a nicely sized off lead dog area and a large playground that is in great shape that lots of kids seemed to enjoy. They have an awesome boat ramp and small dock for fishing, kayaking etc. there are alligators around that area but they have signs and the staff made sure to notify us how to stay safe. Every single staff member was awesome. So kind and accommodating. The only thing I recommend is to stay FAR AWAY from the permanent guest in site #57. I won’t go into specifics but if you just simply avoid them you will love this RV resort. Verizon signal was not awesome but we were able to make it work. They are in the process of upgrading the Wifi significantly.

They require you to arrive before 8 pm to check-in, which could be a minor inconvenience if you had a delay on your trip. The office had a scoop ice cream shop. It was 30 minutes to Downtown Savannah and 45 minutes to Tybee Island. It was a nice resting spot for us as we travelled from Philadelphia, PA to Disney World. We are glad we took the extra day to do some site seeing before hitting Disney mode. We really enjoyed visiting Wormsloe Estate and the beach area for a day. Didn't care for the fact that we had to pay a refundable $50 deposit to get a fire pit.

We had planned to stay at a Harvest Host but they changed their policy right before our stay. Decided that rather than pay to park with no hook ups we would pay for a site and I am glad we did. The campground is convenient to I95. They gave us a pull though site so we didn’t have to unhook our toad. We walked to the river which was beautiful. They had a dog park so after a long travel day the dogs could run. The campground is in the trees so of course there are leaves. But I like the trees. I will always prefer state parks but I am glad they had a place for us. Verizon was 1 to 2 bars but with my cell booster I got 3-4 bars.
Just us and the dogs would stay here again
