Stayed here two separate nights, one on Saturday, June 26 on the way to CO, one on Wednesday, June 30 on the way back from CO. If you don't already have a Nebraska parks permit, you will need to buy a park day pass for $8, (you can do this online ahead of time and print out your pass or you can pay at the campground. Cash/check only.) Then you also need to pay for the camp site which I think was $15, so $23 total per night.
It seems the locals take over most of the campsites in the early evening for fishing, fill all of the firepits with their trash, then leave just before dusk, so you'll need to either get there on a weekday afternoon when most people are still at work to get a spot, or wait until dusk when they're all done fishing to snag one. And be sure to bring your own toilet paper. At least the women's pit toilets seem to run out frequently.
Overall though it was a really pretty area. They mow several walking trails around the lakes and there's a nice variety camp sites for both tents and trailers.

From what I could tell, camping is free as I couldn't find anyplace to pay. You do need a Nebraska parks permit. Fishing seemed to be popular. I'm told scuba diving is also popular.

We had it to ourselves. 8 little lakes clustered together. I was dying for a fishing pole. We were there on a Tuesday, but no one else was. Could hear a nearby highway. Just off interstate.
