Overall Rating

We are staff members at an annual convention across the street at the Kalahari Waterpark Resort and Convention Center. We find that staying in our own rig rather than resort accommodations is highly satisfying.

After staying several days we became familiar with the Sandusky RV Resort and would highly recommend it. There is convenience to all the attractions of the Sandusky and Lake Erie Island area, plus the waterpark across the street.

Proximity to US 250 with only a grassy berm to repel the traffic noise could be a concern. When we stayed, the row closest to the highway was reserved for seasonal guests. Our site was about as distant from the highway as we could get at the time.

Pool is *heated* and evening social activities were a welcome respite from the road. Staff went out of their way to accommodate preferences and be helpful in every manner possible.
