Yes, there is a camp host there and the Sand Dunes are not far away.

we have camped here several times. never have we felt uncomfortable leaving the campsite for the day. there is a host on site

Yes, we have several times. There is only one entrance/exit and a campground host and it is mikes from any town or homes.

Absolutely! We left our airstream there while we visited great sand dunes. It was a great time and a beautiful location. There is very little traffic through the campground.
