We found this KOA to be clean, roomy, secure, and well maintained with a friendly staff. This is a great place to stop for one night while driving across big wide Texas or for several nights while visiting San Angelo. The jet noise above was no problem- the sound of freedom!! Be sure to take a late afternoon or early morning walk on the peaceful walking path next door provided by a local church. At dusk we saw deer quietly grazing in that area and this gave a peaceful vibe. The little cabins look brand new.

Very quiet. It is near an airport and planes go directly over. So, if that bothers you, you may want to take note. Didn't bother us.
Staff was extremely nice! Peaceful neighborhood vibe among the campers and long-term residents.
Very clean campground.
Good wifi for a KOA. Didn't have to use our hotspots all that often. Was able to work a normal digital workday and was actually able to stream a couple of movies during the week late at night. Per usual, campground wifi is tough to use between 5 pm and 9 pm.
Had a nice laundry room.
Propane on site.
Site was really nice gravel and spacious with paver patio and fire pit.
Lots of space behind and between spots.
Close gas, food, and groceries, without feeling busy.

Easy access. Pull thru long enough for us to not unhitch. Site was adequately level. There was some road noise. Lots of lights around, so stay away from office area. Bathroom was clean. Staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Good pet walking areas.

After much hemming & hawing and acting like there was little or no availability we were moved. There had to be 25 to 30 obviously available sites....so what the heck was that all about? Maybe there was some problem with electrical? If so...why not say so. Bath & shower facilities were good.

We stopped overnight and had a pleasant stay. The only detractor is the park is located below the airports landing patth. Due to this there were a large amount of plane noise sporadically during the night.

Would definitely stay here again. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Almost full cell signal on AT&T, bounced between 3-4 bars. Sone road noise, not awful.

If I had to nitpick....
I could hear a little road noise and some noise from the local airport.

The sites aren’t terribly close together, but hey it’s an RV Park. Mesquite trees dot the place, and if you’re in a small rig they may provide some cover. Looks like during less sickly times there’s a clubhouse in an Airstream. San Angelo has a lake, maybe 1 mile max from the KOA and also a river walk. Were the state park open, no doubt that’s the #1 choice in town but friendly staff, very clean grounds and bathroom and the people watching here make this a fine alternative. The night I stayed there were all types of people, multi-generational families to couples to friends hanging out to lonely ol’ me.
Restored my faith in the KOA, to be honest.
