Very quiet beautiful scenery lots of places to set up however the reports of an AT&T signal seem to be incorrect. I stayed there on August 4, 2024 and there was no signal most of the time and once in a while maybe one bar of trace signal just enough to maybe get a text if you're lucky but not send anything out whatsoever.

Pit toilets are available. Spotty cell service in only one area so best if you don’t plan on having any. Multiple boat ramps. Large open area with random fire pits. Find one you like and camp. 16 day stay limit right on the reservoir. We will be going back. Roads in are fine. We live in a 38’ bus and occasionally tow our jeep.

Also close to historic Nevada City and Virginia City both well worth the trip! Check out the Artisan Shop, first shop in the left when driving East into Virginia City, awesome my favorite shop! Oh and saw people panning for Garnets and finding them. We could not too steep to get to shore. Also we were there middle of week nice and quiet but we were told gets noisy on weekends, boat access and pit toilets.

Many people had boats as there is a boat ramp there as well as Pitt toilets at the same end of the campground.

There are NO formal parking areas, find a spot and stay. There are several roads down toward the reservoir from the highway. Scout out which one you want before you bring an RV down. Some are paved almost to parking.
Wind can be a problem, it is open and Montana.
I had to use a cell phone amplifier to use Verizon.
