Great off the beaten path campsite in the mountains of central Oregon. The road up is 5 miles of washboard and exposed rock. It’s worth it, go slow, it’s a beautiful drive switch backing up the mountain. I had no troubles in my Tacoma and converted cargo trailer (12ft).
The downside to this spot is it gets fairly busy on the weekends and the campground is tight quarters. During the week you should have the place to yourself, take advantage. Cell service- 1 bar LTE t mobile in some spots.

“Secluded lake spot with mountain views”

Loved this spot! There was about 8-10 sites for camping and you could fit a trailer in most of them. You’re super close to Three Fingered Jack & some epic hikes, but you’re secluded and some of the sites feel very private. There also the hike to Square Lake starting on the opposite side of the lake you can walk to the trailhead from camp. The downside was that the dust was super annoying and it was pretty windy the whole time, but everything else was great. Be prepared for a 45 minute drive (with a trailer) on a super washboard gravel road! There was only 1 bar of service in one single area of the campsite.
