I arrived around 5pm and there were quite a few other campers. I pulled in and got set up to cook dinner. Used the vault toilet, not bad. I tried to take my dog on a walk but not very good hiking trails so we packed up and left. Not very private but great campground. We did not stay the night but it seemed safe enough.

I arrived around four and there was some traffic on the road until 6 or so, but it was quiet after that. It was easy to find, had a vault toilet, and lots of space. Only two other people here. Would definitely stay again.

I had hope for this site, but it just wasn't going to work for us. It was actually pretty full when we showed up. We have a longer camper, but there were no available spots where we would fit. It's not as big of a camping area as I thought it would be.

Nice spot near a highway. Yes it can be noisy. River is fast and strong in May. Becareful with children. Very close to St Joseph so it's very convient. Well kept and clean. About 10 spots. Nice place to layover. No running water and pit toilet. No dump station. I enjoyed it here.

We stayed Saturday and Sunday night and didn’t see any of the previously mentioned locals. There were some others camping but overall it was quiet and we felt safe. Has some picnic tables, fire rings, pit toilets and a dumpster. There is some road noise and some trash around. It fit our 40 foot fifth wheel fine.

It was the parade of skeevy-ass looking people coming through --all eyeballing me like I'd just dumped their sister (note I don't know their sisters)-- for hours between when I arrived and when I ultimately left. The final straw was this dude in a Yukon with no plates wearing big mirrored shades and grinning at me as he cruised by. I'm generally not worried by punks like this but I'm also smart enough to get out of harm's way if I can, no matter if it's my 'right' to be there.
I wouldn't stay here unless there were other campers; not 'til Buchanan County gets its act together community policing-wise.

Great site! We arrived late and set up only to find sketchy locals that made us feel unsafe. With no time before dark to really survey the situation, we opted to stay at the cracker barrel. While at the campsite a dept. Sherriff made a round through the lot. All the same better safe than sorry. If you are going to stay here make sure you arrive early in time to check everything out, just my 2 cents.
