Robinson Lake Campground

Yikes- the road in is a very narrow two way one lane road. If you meet another RV coming or going there is no where to pull off!

This is a very small NFS campground at $15 a night. Some sort of toilets and water spigots. No trash service, no rv dump or water and no cell.

The host said that he has had a 42” Class A in the campground but it was a challenge for them to turn around and leave. At the end on the two way, one lane road, there is a tight turnaround with tress on each side. We made it but had to be very, very careful.

There is a nice lake steps away from the campground. I’m sure on a beautiful sunny day it would have been very nice.

If you like camping in the woods, this is your kind of place. We look for sunny for the solar and wide open spaces.

We camped here for about a week. There was a camp hostess but I think we may have seen her twice and spoke to her once in 6 days. The lake is beautiful and well stocked with very picky trout and bass. It seemed to be a very favorite swimming hole for locals as everyday families would show up to swim and recreate in the water. The lower lake is overgrown with lilies and make launching a boat a chore. There is a swim dock and a 'fishing' dock next to it. There was free firewood ( a NF first), vault toilets and water. We found a dump station in Bonners Ferry at the fair grounds. There's a really magical American Red Cedar forest nearby which was a treat to hike through. We'd skip a second visit here to camp at the other area CG's on a fishable river.
