We have stayed at this campground many times. Clinton lumberkings are a minor league team within a short walk across a parking lot. Every Thursday in June and July is a car show and live music downtown. And Downtown Clinton is now a quiet zone for trains so NO MORE TRAIN HORN.

This is a very nice city park or near the Mississippi river but not on the Mississippi it’s rather noisy in my opinion with a train tracks that are adjacent to the park and I was awoken a couple times at night by the train whistle’s .

Location is wonderful for walking along the River. Level concrete pads. Maintained nicely. Restrooms/showers are clean enough but lack someplace to hang a towel or bag. I had a broken hook in my shower stall. Downside is park is almost on top of busy train tracks. Trains blow horns but they actually toned it down overnight so it went better than I expected. I like the park but I’d have to find someplace else if I came again.

And we had fun! And WiFi! (more on that later)
This park is attached to a large parking lot that serves the single-A minor league ball park next door. It's right along the Mississippi River and adjacent to the main commercial areas of Clinton. It's a true RV park: tidy but close spaces on concrete pads and not much shade.
The railroad track ran right behind us. That was a surprise, but not a problem. Right across the track was a McDonalds. We were able to connect to their very strong wifi signal.
We biked to the historical museum to get some perspective, up to the Arboretum on the bluff above the town and took the river trail to the huge and beautiful Eagle Point Park to the north. Then we went to see the Clinton Lumberkings play the Cedar Rapids Kernels. We had a great stay.
Runswithdogs would stay here again
