“Nicest Park I’ve Ever Seen”

I agree with all the nice things said in the other comments. I have nothing negative. The entire park is constantly manicured by the staff. They even rake the gravel between visitors. Backing up to the riverbank was fabulous. Cleanest laundry and bathhouse I’ve ever seen!! Would rate 10 stars if I could.

Sure it’s not the cheapest around but a great place to spend a weekend.

I booked and later got a call about my camper van. Make/model/year. If yours is over 10 years old you must send a picture to be approved. I've never heard of this policy ever. Too snooty for me.

This campground is in a great location, close to shops and recreation. It is gated and we were escorted and assisted with parking by an attendant. Sites are not too close, but close. Full hookups. Gravel pads, there are some concrete pads and sites on the river. It’s a pretty campground, well kept. You can get propane filled here. On our second night, we were told we were parked too far over and impeding on the site beside us and needed to move immediately so they could rent the site beside us. We parked where the parking attendant guided us to. Never said anything about parking between the red dots. This was a huge inconvenience as we had to disconnect everything, roll up stabilizers, hook back up to the truck and move over 3 feet. Needless to say we were not happy. No “sorry, we guided you wrong” or anything, but move your RV so we can make some more money. The campground wasn’t full so they had other places to put people if needed. I suggest they educate their employees to tell people to park between the red dots. We would have happily obliged if we were just told correctly where to park.

We had stayed at one of the cabins prior to full-time trailering and enjoyed it so much that we made this our maiden trailering voyage. I guess you could say that wasn’t our smartest life choice because no other rv park will compare to the friendliness, cleanliness, and overall accessibility of Riverbend. From watching the birds enjoy the quaint pond to using the facilities that are cleaner and more stylish than most houses, Riverbend hits it out of the park in every category. The wifi was excellent, the free coffee served daily was a treat, and access to the paved river trail made for great dog walks, runs, and bike rides. If you are ever around Montrose and need a place to park, there is no better place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverbend RV Park. The owners take a lot of pride in the park and work hard to keep it clean, safe, and comfortable. Jen is super sweet and available to help you find your way around the area. They also took care to make sure everyone's rig was properly prepared for winter and freezing weather. There is a spacious dog park conveniently located in the middle of the park, with plenty of potty bags. All spots have fresh gravel, so it keeps the dirt out of your rig but aesthetically feels better than pavement or asphalt. It feels like your away from it all even though Target is 3min away, along with all the modern conveniences of Montrose. Lastly the location is beautiful with a river running by it (you can fish in) as well as an awesome trail (get your daily walk/run in)! Great place for a long or short stay! We will definitely go back!

Office and laundry areas were modern and spotless. Didn't try the bathrooms. You're on the river with the view just slightly tempered by the back of a Target. Wifi was so-so like most parks, so get a hotspot if needing to work from the RV. It's a 5 star spot, but on this trip I didn't have my kids with me and personally would rather pay less and forego some of the niceties.

Wide, well maintained crushed stone interior roads easy to navigate with a big rig. Immaculately maintained park nicely landscaped with grass and flowers. Shaded or open sites available. We had a riverfront site which was a generous size with crushed stone surface, picnic table and fire pit. Utilities worked well. Very good free WiFi. Good T-mobile signal. Large grassy shaded dog park. There are benches along the river for anyone to sit and enjoy. There is also access to a town river walk from the roadway at the front of the park. Close to downtown Montrose with great restaurants and shopping. About a half hour to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP South Entrance. We will definitely return for another visit, and next time we’ll stay longer.

New owners have made nice up grades to this campground. Helpful staff, decent WiFi, open space for all to enjoy the River. Convenient for day trips to explore the region.

We stopped here for a few nights so we could drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We were met at the entrance by a friendly gentleman that guided us to our site and gave us some great information about the park and surrounding area. This park is gated and well maintained with a beautiful lake just outside the gate. The only drawback to our site (2) was the gate...it is rather loud when it opens and closes and site 2 is right beside it. This means you hear EVERY vehicle that comes and goes all day and night! Regardless, it was a great place to stop for a few days and we would definitely stay here again!

“Closes At 7PM With No Late Checkin Option”
noted 8/28/2024
Beware that this park closes at 7pm with no late check-in option, unlike most parks that will post your info outside the office and let you come in later. I was going to be delayed because of a road closure/detour that was outside of my control. The only option was to park outside their gate for the night. I ended up going somewhere else but because it was within 7 days, they wouldn’t issue any kind of refund.
