Overall Rating
Large park with lots of room to spread out and plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Hiking, biking, swimming, boating, fishing, corn hole, basketball, volleyball, lots of playgrounds. Many of the facilities are old and showing signs of wear and tear, large trees have died so some spots don’t have much shade. Most spots are a couple of inches out of level. Some areas of the park are prone to flooding, and the entire park is below the dam, which is a little worrisome. Our site was C20, which was huge, and had good shade much of the day, except for right around 5-7PM. Water/electric sites are rare, randomly placed, and the only ones that seemed to have good shade and room for big rigs were A34 and B8. The dump station is nice, but with only two stalls for such a large campground, there always seemed to be a line.

Overall Rating
We stayed on the opposite side of the main campground across the lake and below the dam. This area (R loop) only had about 14 sites. While this was an awesome area it is quite steep going down and getting back out especially for longer rigs. We pull a 22 ft with a 2500 and had no problems. Would definitely recommend. Only downside for the R loop were the pit toilets which aren’t taken very well care of, but if you have an RV or trailer no problem! There are hot showers on the other side.
