We stayed here to be close to family prior to a wedding we were going. Nice access to Lebanon and Dartmouth areas. Easy on and off of hwy. speed bumps in the campground and crazy high. We were in the lower section of the campground. Muddy from all the rains to be expected but still east to get in and out of. Mosquitos were also a bit crazy when we were there but citronella candle worked as well as bug spray. Stayed July 26-28th. Our travel partners site had some electrical issues but they came right out within an hour of notifying and assessed the issue. Real nice people. Would consider staying here as monthly’s for work if ever in the area! Did not use any amenities but saw the area for laundry and the pool up at the front. Sites fairly level which was nice.

We spent 3 weeks at Rest N’ Nest and were very pleased overall with our stay there! Details below.
Pros:
One of, if not the nicest owners we’ve met at a campground. They were very accommodating and did all they could to enhance our experience.
Sites were for the most part a very good size. Our site was meant for an 80’ rig so it was more than long enough for our 30’ RV and Jeep to park in and our “yard” though narrow was plenty large to have a lot of space for our dogs to roam and for us to sit outside etc.
Sites had a fire ring and picnic table. Always a plus!
Each Friday night the owners had a big fire at the office that they invited everyone to and while we didn’t get a chance to do it, it’s a really cool thing they do to allow you to meet and hang out with the other campers.
Beautiful campground with a pond, game/activity room, pool, basketball goal, and playground.
Cons:
Laundry was available which is a pro but they only had 2 washers and 2 dryers and you had to sign up for a time to use them so that was kind of a pain.
Verizon and T-mobile phone service was pretty bad. It would work well enough but not great. If you’re at the top section of the campground you got amazing Wi-Fi but if you were on the bottom section like we were you had nothing. However, they say by next year (2023) they hope to have it all over the campground so I don’t really fault them for that. Luckily our Verizon jetpack was enough that we could work off of but that was it.
The site next to ours (43 I believe) had their water hook up all the way in our site, close enough we thought it was ours and that we were just facing the wrong way. So that was an awkward situation for both parties each time someone had to hook up.
Overall:
This was a great campground that has a lot of potential with the new(ish) owners really trying to update it and upgrade it in a lot of ways. Were it not for the weird layout of ours and our neighbors site as well as the lack of wi-fi and cell service it would have likely gotten 5 stars. But if we make it back there next year I believe that will be the case!

This is a great family campground and we will definitely return. The owners (New Owners Spring 2020) are pretty laid back but do enforce important safety rules like speed limit because there are kids running around. It is close to the interstate which is very convenient although you can definitely hear the traffic from the sites closer to the interstate. I don't think you would hear the traffic as much on the nightly sites, we are in the monthly section. Luckily this isn't close to any bigger cities so at night there maybe 1 or 2 cars that pass per hour and inside your camper you don't really hear them. Tent camping might be a different story. The sites are a decent size but not super-private so if you have young children it can present a boundary issue because they want to explore and there isn't much space for them to do so on your own site. Unfortunately, the park, pool and swimming lake are closed due to COVID-19 but if the park opens soon, that would help significantly with having younger children.

It takes a little driving to check the area out, it's about 15 miles to the 89 interchange which is about the center of the universe for this area.

I called in July to make a reservation for Aug, Aug came around I called to pay ahead. I was literally yelled at becaus owner said we pulled a no show in July for the same exact dates I SAID in Aug. She told me I was wrong, I should of cancled my reservation then but had to be there for set dates. So I paid BIG mistake. After talking with my husband on how I was treated we decided we didnt want to stay there so called to cancle. This was 3 WEEKS in advance the husband was pleasant said ok until the wife says give me the phone all nasty then where she yells at me again for the missed July and tell me I am not getting my money back. I can choose to cancle but there is no way I'm getting my money. Then she states I can cancle and call the day b4 reservation and if my site was booked then she would refund me. I have never been spoken to by anyone the way this woman spoke to me. Well seeing how it was $258 we couldn't just eat the money so we didnt cancle. I then got off the phone went into my emails a found my online request that proved in July I requested Aug and sent it to her no apology for being treated that way. I expected like any business owner while we wer therr a apology.. Nothing. Husband was very nice , she acted like nothing had happened. Anyways the camp was nice site was big campers super friendly. Disliked the men and womans bathroom and showers wer in the same location inside literally door to door with locks that could be opened by outside with finger. I would of never sent even a teen to go to bathroom or shower alone nor did I feel safe to without wondering if some weirdo would come in. But anyways my husband went to shower and none of them worked luckly we had the camper. We will be coming to this area for 10 more years for this same event the way I see it that's 258 × 10 that they lose...pulled out a day early went to The pastures so glad we did The owners and campers are awesome never been to such a friendly place and we came alot and try many. Plus they do pontoon boat rentals excited to do today. And its $100 less for the week. Lobster food truck accross the st ia a MUST TRY! The best.
