Take it from a guy who needs it to work and work well, their WIFI is GREAT! The showers are hot and washrooms are clean. The family has owned and run this campground going on 50 years and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Their office/general store has ice, firewood and many basic essentials.
I'm not a pool person but their looks clean and inviting.
There's a little bit of road noise from the highway but I didn't find it loud or annoying, to me, barely worth the mention. To no fault of the campground's the road in is a little rough, just take it slow and you'll be fine.
All in all a great stay and I'll definitely go back if in the area again.

Rayport is down Shingle Mill Rd, accessed from the Lighthouse Route 3. Highway 103 runs near the campground, however, you need to drive several miles to get on or off the freeway (either direction), as the exits are spaced apart. There is slight highway noise at the campground but not enough to make it a bad experience.
Check-in was a snap and we had full hook-ups. They offer cable, but in order to use it, you have to rent a cable box. Their equipment wasn't compatible with ours so we weren't able to use the cable. They were kind enough at the office to let us try first, though, before adding the box to our account. WiFi was excellent.
Showers were definitely dated but clean and hot. Laundry room had 2 washers and 3 dryers, not really enough for all of the people there but I was able to time it right. They have a small sundries store in the office.
The park is pretty large but most are seasonal sites. The overnighters seem to be toward the front of the park. Lots of families and children. They have a pool that looked welcoming. There is a river that runs alongside the park with some nice RV spots next to it.
Dump station is at an awkward place up a small, steep hill behind the office but everything worked fine.
We would definitely stay here again. Everyone was very nice and the location is perfect for exploring Oak Island, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg. We ate dinner at Rebecca's, on the water in Mahone Bay. They have a nice patio and a wonderful selection of organic and gluten free meals. We also ate at Mug & Anchor pub around the other side of Mahone Bay. They have upstairs patio seating overlooking the harbor, and delicious fish and chips.

Great little campground, with lots of seasonals, but most prime spots by the river are for those passing through. We usually prefer campgrounds with more privacy, but we were there midweek in September, so it was very quiet and we didn't have neighbors on either side. There was a bit of road noise, but not enough to bother us. The odd numbered sites have the hookups on the correct side.
Great wifi!
We loved this area and could have spent more time here. Nearby Mahone Bay is a pristine little town with the very best ice cream we've ever had at "Get the Scoop." (Try the Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel in a homemade waffle cone.) The Unesco World Heritage town of Lunenburg is right down the road (Home of the Bluenose II), and Peggy's Cove is an hour away. An hour to the north is another Unesco World Heritage site, The Landscape of Grand Pre, which was wonderful!
