The road is stated as being a graded dirt road. While that may be true it is not graded well and for larger rigs, you will want to take it slow. Past our area, the road gets much worse and I would caution any large 5th-wheels or A-class motorhomes to stop at the half mile point and scout further on foot or car before heading further.
From our spot, there is certainly highway noise but it didn't bother us enough to want to move. One huge benefit to being at this spot is we had extremely good cell coverage and download and upload speeds were quite fast. At about 3 miles down Rasor Rd. from the service station, cell reception was all but gone completely without a booster. Point of reference would be the OHV sign on the right hand side of the road at 2.7 miles in.
During the week it was extremely quiet we went multiple days in a row with no one driving on the dirt road. Weekends it is certainly busier. Lots of side-by-sides and a few smaller campers made their way further down the road.
Other couple of notes. Fuel at the closest station is quite pricey and the pumps are about the slowest I've ever used. They do propane exchanges of the smaller 20 pound bottles but they don't actually fill any there.
All-in-all we were pleased with the location and would certainly stay here again.
