The people are friendly and helpful. If you know where to look you can hike to pictoglyphs from camp.

Open field dry camping but they do have WIFI at the ranch house where you pay. We stayed one night but this area is worth exploring if you want to park your rigs and explore the area.

This was the only open RV park in the area of Cataviña. It's a wide open flat dirt lot with a few trees and a few structures which include a restaurant and a flush toilet. We did not use the toilet. It's off the highway just enough to make it a quiet place.
When we arrived, we were the only RV in the place, later joined by a couple of vans. But we found out that the previous day they had hosted a caravan of 17 rigs! They do accommodate all size rigs and have easy access so I can see why they would be popular with caravans.
We ate at the little restaurant which had decent food (considering it's in the middle of nowhere). The hosts were very nice, it seems like a family operation. There is no signal here, but the restaurant building offered WiFi.
While we were there several horses came by, seems like they were being herded and must belong to the ranch. Also when we left there were a couple of cows resting below one of the trees.
They have a water spigot by the only palm tree in the lot. This was super important for us since we were headed to Bahia de Los Angeles where none of the RV parks offer water to fill your tanks as far as we knew.
Overall, a pleasant experience for us.
