We used an adjoining empty campsite to make the U turn. We camped when the temps were 101 and 102 for all three days. Campgrounds were spacious and didn’t feel we were on top of each other. The County run their sprinklers at night so be mindful of chairs and bikes parked out in the grass area. We enjoyed our stay.

Each site has space between them, a paved patio area, and a fire pit. This park has a lot of activities and greenspace which was nice for being near the city.
Saw some things in the other reviews I'll mention. The water pressure was fine for us at 60 PSI. We did not use the bathroom facilities so I can not comment on those. You will hear noises from the shooting range. One day we heard it most of the time and other days not at all. Also near out site you could hear dirt bikes on the property behind the park. Never smelled the cow farms in the park, but if you drive north from the park it is pretty bad on the main road.
Had some congestion issues on Tmobile and Verzion. Tmobile said it had excellent connection but was 0.5 down and unusable. Verizon was around 8 down but had weird outages where it would drop for a bit. We ended up setting up starlink which worked great.

This is part of the San Bernardino regional parks system and is in a great location for the Los Angeles area and a great value for a FHU in the area. I’ve been here many times over the years and it just feels a bit run down this time. Water pressure is very low, probably because there is a leaking water main that looks like they started to fix but has just been left to leak water for the past several days. They do have improvements planned including refurbishment of the campground and a new entrance. Perhaps will be better next year. If you can be an hour away, I’d suggest the Yucaipa SBC regional park east of here.

Really nice Regional Park with spacious campsites. Lots of pretty views. Ours, site 55, was a cement pad all sites are pullthru. Nice fire ring and table we just used electric. I've heard there's issues with water. There's a lake for fishing, good roads to ride bikes on, kids playground, lots of mature trees and grass areas. Unfortunately the bathhouses are disgusting. There are plans for new ones but no way I'd shower in them. They charge $1 for 5 minutes. Fixtures broken or missing, standing water in stalls, etc.
The ranger was great he came out and personally cleaned up the bathouse and apologized for condition. The second bathouse is closed for repairs.
If you don't need bathouse this is a great place!

DO NOT hook up your city water to this faucet. I measured over 120 psi, damaging to RVs. Access is easy off of Hwy 83 (Euclid Ave), be prepared for traffic. Check-in at gate kiosk, one RV and one vehicle included in camp fees. Gate is closed at night 5PM, be sure to get the gate code from the kiosk person.
Campground road is rough, some potholes to avoid. Some shooting noise from the nearby range, but wasn't too bad. Bathrooms are horrible, only 1 of the 4 pay showers worked. Badly in need of maintenance.
Many different types of birds at the lake: white pelicans, geese, ducks, coots, egrets, herons and more. Some hiking around the lake.
Even sites are on the right side of the road, odd sites on the left. Even sites have utilities on the inside, odd sites on picnic table side since its a one way road. We were in an odd site, which meant our door opened to the road.
50ish HDTV channels. AT&T cell service was great, 5 bars of 5G. We could stream without the booster.

We spent a week camped at Prado to be near to family in semi-close Arcadia (close is a flexible term when accounting for LA area traffic), and our FHU site was easy to get into and utilities were easily reached and worked fine. This campground feels a bit older with trees that could use some trimming, narrow one-way roads, and some of the site layouts could have used more foresight. Our pull through site faced the single lane road instead of the open green space on the driver’s side, so while we had some privacy, it could have been better and some sites are better than others. There is also an equestrian area (along with trails, lake, playground, etc), and most days the wind blew in a direction that carried some pretty awful smells (maybe it was more than the horses?). While I don’t normally complain about the wind, we experienced plenty while there, and while that alone isn’t a unique problem, the dry exposed ground is. It was hard to go outside without getting covered in dirt, and along with the smell… it was a little gross. On the plus side, this is a very pretty natural camping setting with spacious, level sites that are mostly big rig friendly.
Town and all the needed amenities aren’t very far away, and while it’s pricey for a city/county/state park ($40 a night (non-holiday) plus a $7 fee), such is the case in the LA area in general. There is plenty of space to walk a dog, and our Verizon service worked well without the booster. I also see another reviewer complained about gun fire from the nearby range, we could hear it when we were outside, but it wasn't particularly loud. There was also some construction going on in the park during the day, but overall, the park was really pretty quiet even on a weekend. All the negatives accounted for, Prado still offers a quiet park style respite from the surrounding city stuff, and we would stay here again.

I'm shocked only one review mentions the gunfire from the shooting range next door. It starts at 7 AM and goes all day, so it is not a relaxing place to be, and will keep me from going there again. Also, no one mentioned the smell of cow manure from nearby feedlots that wafts over occasionally with the wind. I do see mention of the women's prison, and our site had a nice view of the guard lights and an occasional blast of an announcement.
Our site was on the edge of the park and had lots of room away from other campers. But watch out for your little dogs! I heard at least 2 packs of coyotes celebrating their kills on one night.
The park does have lots of activities that families might enjoy. Kids were biking around the campground, there was lots of fishing, interesting bird-watching, and they do have the disc golf, equestrian center and other activities nearby. We drove to a nearby park to play pickleball with local friends. It's an easy drive from LA and could be a nice family retreat for someone who doesn't have much space at home, or who is visiting someone in the area. Hookups were a luxury since I usually boondock, but they were on the wrong side for our door to face the campsite so we had to turn around when we left in order to dump the tanks (short hoses).

Can’t say enough good things about this park, dog friendly, many walking trails, disc golfing, off roading track for toys, little lake (no swimming right now due to algae) but still nice to look at. Equestrian trails and barn, full hook up with dump in sites, tent camping areas, lots of picnic tables, and the staff is friendly and change trash cans every single day. Park staff is always driving around, police drive through the park regularly and they have gated coded entrance. Really nice family park with beautiful playground and well maintained. My husband, dogs and I really enjoyed ourselves & I could see us definitely visiting again maybe even soon that’s how much we loved it.
