Our site was nice real close to the water, felt like we had a private area. Plenty of shade, electric and water at the site. Bathrooms were nasty. Drain wasnt working right so standing water in the shower and so many bugs and spiders everywhere. Campground is way out there only a little convenience store about 1mile down the road, ... more
Our site was nice real close to the water, felt like we had a private area. Plenty of shade, electric and water at the site. Bathrooms were nasty. Drain wasnt working right so standing water in the shower and so many bugs and spiders everywhere.
Campground is way out there only a little convenience store about 1mile down the road, other than that not much.

Potato Hills Campground lies on Sardis Lake and many of the sites are waterfront with the possibility of beaching your boat at the campsite. Most campsites appear fairly level and have water close enough for hooking up. There is a decent distance between sites though there is little vegetation between most sites other than a few tree... more
Potato Hills Campground lies on Sardis Lake and many of the sites are waterfront with the possibility of beaching your boat at the campsite. Most campsites appear fairly level and have water close enough for hooking up. There is a decent distance between sites though there is little vegetation between most sites other than a few trees. There are a few amenities that help make the park more interesting. There are trails, largely equestrian, through the park. There is a playground and baseball field in addition to a swimming beach.

Overall Rating
There are 2 camp grounds, central and south. Well laid out so almost all are water view yet private. Full shower typical of COE camp grounds. Only draw back is very limited phone signal, no internet and no tv. Even so, well worth the stay.
Happy camper would stay here again
