The port jacked up all their prices without putting any of that extra money into maintenance or beautification. This could be a pretty place if they would plant native trees and shrubs as windbreaks and sound barriers and hired someone competent to maintain it. Instead of fixing the drainage problem, they dumped the coarsest, cheapest gravel they could find all over everything and put chunks of rocks in between sites. It is the saddest, ugliest place I’ve ever stayed in.
The Port of Newport’s poor management and greed has made this place a no-go for me.

As for the Annex, well it is a place to park, full hook ups cable TV. Did not try the WIFI. If you plan on spending most of your time out in a boat and just need a place to spend the night this Annex will work. Very Tight spots in an over grown parking lot. Not really worth the price but for this time of the year on the Oregon coast you take what you can get. Rouge Ale is right across the street.
For all the dog lovers. Be careful of the big field in the annex. While it is short and dry grass it is full of very sharp nasty stickers/burrs that will hurt your dogs feet. Not really anywhere to walk the dog on site.

Basically the motel 6 parking lot was preferable. Tiny space of dead grass, busted concrete. Neighbors so close you could smell their. Never even unpacked. Cops came thru 3 times in 15 minutes. We opted for a dead end

We moved over from the Main Park because there was no place available to extend there. Access signage is barely adequate and the access roads are dusty and tight for our 36 foot motorhome. The sites are an uneven mix of grass and gravel, wouldn't care to be here in the rain. Our site was level enough for our leveling system to get us level. Utilities are acceptable, we did not need both air conditioners which is good since power is 30 amp.
We are closer to the highway so expect more noise. Site 176 is away from the Motel 6 so we are not overlooked from the windows. Since we got this spot for the 3rd and 4th of July!!! with one day's notice we are happy. The price reflects a $20/day surcharge for the holiday week.

The whole entire Annex is all uneven ground, on grass and right in front of a hotel 6.
The people above you can look in your skylight and the other people staying there, look like they have been there for a couple months.
There is only one way to get in and you will definitely miss it when you go there.
Overall, our experience was not the best. I wish we would have stayed at the Marina. It was cleaner and had a better view of the beautiful bridge and it;s not that much further from the Rouge Brewery. Infact, you can use a good walk home after being there to long ;)

The RV park has three different prices depending on if you’re staying in the main area (most expensive), the perimeter, or the annex (least expensive). They all have full hookups and good wifi signal. There is also a dry camping area for $18. The annex is down the street from the main campground and instead of being blacktop it’s a mix of gravel, dirt and grass, and can be muddy. We decided to stay in the annex to save a buck or two (our $33 was the off-season price). The price difference isn’t big enough to make it worth putting up with the annex there instead of the regular sites. The annex is pretty crummy looking and awkward - mainly awkward because there is an apartment building right above the RV spots. The apartments are so close that its balconies were directly above our RV. There are two bathrooms and a dumpster in the annex lot. There’s also a greenway across the street and access to the harbor. The stars for cleanliness and site quality are specifically for the annex.
While dogs are allowed, the first pet is free and the second is $2. The park has summer and winter prices. Don’t trust the prices on their website, it was outdated when we checked. I would recommend calling for the most up to date price. The park is also walking distance to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and supposedly guests can get a free Newport bus pass from the RV park office, which can bring them across the bridge to downtown Newport.
There is free Wi-Fi, no password and it was surprisingly fast (we were also there in early November).
