Unfortunately, the shoreline on Koocanusa lake has a LOT of dead trees and debris on the shore. But - they have great trails to all the other lakes, so we took our bikes to Surveyor Lake to swim. (steep hills to/from the smaller lakes). Ponderosa campground doesn't have many trees - good for Starlink, not so good in the hot sun! Each campground has a bathhouse, but the others were closed, which meant lots of traffic to and from the only one in use. Also, there was a boil water order when we were there. One of the few Provincial parks that have electric hookups, which was nice. Great trail system for walking and biking.

Very nice provincial park. Spotlessly clean. No services at sites. Large, well spread out sites. Playground and two small lakes for sup’s etc. The big lake is good for power boats.

There are multiple campgrounds here and the non hookup ones have much more shade and privacy.
Good roads, clean individual bathrooms and showers and a beautiful lake along with hiking trails made it worth the lack of space.
T mobile was good (4G 10+ d/l) and ATT was solid 3G 3+ d/l. No OTA channels. Shopping is in Fernie which is a very cute town.
