Magnificent location in Naches—not many sites are right on the river so #8 felt like a real luxury. Gorgeous, lush forest. Steady but gentle American River with lots of nice pools and open creek beds to explore around. Close proximity to Union Creek falls which is a very beautiful, easy 1.5 mi from the camp.
We arrived on a Monday afternoon in the rain and literally there was 1 other family at the far opposite end of the camp, so nice to have it all to ourselves.
Pit toilet. Fresh drinking water spigot. Fire pits and picnic tables. Can be buggy if warm since so much humidity.

This is a nice little campground on the American River. Typical amenities for a Forest Service campground; several vault toilets and one water spigot. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are small and I wouldn't recommend bring an RV in that's larger than 30ft. There's a nice 1 mile walking trail near the entrance and the campground is off the road enough that I couldn't hear traffic.
