Question about Plaskett Creek Campground

We are driving a class c 27’ and towing a Jeep . We’d be coming from Paso Robles. Should we drive up highway 1 to get to Plaskett Creek or take the 101 to Monterey and drive south on 1. Or should we forget the RV?

I would have no problem towing my 17' camping trailer with my Tacoma on HWY 1, but others may be a bit concerned by the curves and the cliffs if they are concerned about those things in general. Overall it's a nice highway and has a few opportunities to pull over.
