Overall Rating

The Powley-Piseco Road Campsites are in the Ferris Lake Wild Forest managed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. There are 18 numbered sites along the road between the towns of Stratford and Arietta. I stayed at site 15 for two nights and site 1 for three nights. Both were large enough to accommodate my truck, 25’ toy hauler, and unload my motorcycle. Other sites were even larger. Some were only suitable for tent camping. Most sites have an outhouse. Both sites 15 and 1 were level and partially shaded. Site 1 is along East Canada Creek. The sites are only accessible from State Route 10 as the bridge north of Stratford is closed. The road is unpaved but well maintained. It is steep and curvy in sections. There is no mobile phone service anywhere along the road. Overall, a nice place to get away from it all.
