This place is simply the best campground in the area. Great location on the river, phenomenal hosts, and the cleanest campground bathrooms that we have ever seen. We would definitely stay again!

So if someone told you that you could camp on a beautiful river for $9 per night with full hook-ups and have great hosts looking out for you, what would you think? Crazy? Impossible? Nope. So if someone told you that you could camp on a beautiful river for $9 per night with full hook-ups and have great hosts looking out for you, what would you think? Crazy? Impossible? Nope. This is the spot. And it wasn't even full! This Dept. of Interior BLM campground is truly the best of it's kind. While the campsites can't be reserved, it is worth your time to stop and check out the availability at this public treasure. It's not perfect, but close. The biggest negative is it's closeness to Highway 12 and the noise from those logging trucks. But you really don't notice them too much in your easy chair along the pristine Clearwater River bank.
