I have been to this campground many times since I live in the Sedona Area. It is a great way to get out of the heat and into the tall Ponderosa Pines. There is a fishing lake near by and many meadows and trails that are great for dogs. I have a 25 foot class C Winnabago View. It works well in most of their campsites. All are very level and paved. It has clean flush toilets, hot pay showers, dump station, and potable tank fill water. Potable water is near all bathrooms. Sturdy fire pits and charcoal grills at each site. Camp Hosts are always pleasant. The Morman Lake tavern is only a few miles away for a dinner out, or the Lake Mary Camp shop is near by too for small things you may have forgotten. If you have a car, there is much to do in Flagstaff. There are other smaller national forest campgrounds surrounding Pine Grove, but they don't have the amenities and are not as nice.

This campground is situated about 20 miles south of Flagstaff in the Coconino National Forest on an excellent road. All roads and sites in the campground are paved. Bathrooms are very clean with water and flush toilets. There is a shower facility ($3 for 5 minutes) which is also very clean and has good hot water. There is a water fill station next to the showers along with a dump station. Just about all the sites have some shade during the day as the campground is situated in a ponderosa pine forest. With an elevation of about 7,000 ft the weather here is very pleasant compared to other parts of Arizona (low 80's during the day and 50's at night). There is off-roading, hiking, mountain biking available all around in this national forest area and Flagstaff proved to be very interesting with lots of fun things to see and do. The main road from Flagstaff (Lake Mary Road) is used by many cyclists to train since it has very wide shoulders.
Loop A is first come first serve and Loop B is reservable with a combination of pull-through and back-in sites (total 46 sites). All sites have concrete picnic tables, tent pads, fire rings and some of the nicest bbq grills we've seen. There are several other campgrounds along the main highway south of Flagstaff (some closer) but this one has the most amenities and can accept big rigs in several of the sites. There are no hookups but we made do with solar panels from a strong mid-day sun. There was an even mixture of tent/RV campers in the campground. Weekends did fill up but mostly families and everyone was very respectful of their neighbors. We used our Senior Pass and camped here for $11/night.
Cell signal varies from the different sites - we got 3 bars with a booster in Site B16 which sits up higher.
