We checked out the area, but didn't stay due to some maintenance issues that came up. Alas, life on the road! If you're a big rig like us, 42', there's just a few spots you can easily fit. Advice: roads are weathered, but doable. Stay to the left of the fork on your way in. The other way is tight. I had ATT 4G 3 bars while driving arou... more

We would stay here!

We stayed here and loved it! Pull in and then just drive around and you will see sites where previous campers have stayed. We were timid at first and pulled into the first obvious camping site we saw and then after walking around a bit found a site further in and we ended up moving there. The sites are clean and relatively flat. Lots of people here with dirt bikes/ 4 wheelers and there are lots of trails around the camp. No fire rings/ grills or running water. Also no camp fires are allowed currently (we’re here June 26th) due to the fire hazard so plan ahead!

Beautiful place easy access. Dirt roads in. The roads have been used by ohv’s so it’s a bit torn up but not bad. Not far from the south entrance to Canyon Lands National Park. Lots of places to camp. It’s about 15-20 degrees cooler than Moab area. The only draw back is the prior …people forgot to clean up and left trash around.

There are a bunch of camp spots tucked in the trees, which is a nice change from the Utah desert. Camp is at 8800’ give or take. The road is pretty decent climb to get to the dirt road for camp. Big rigs would need to stay closer to the paved roads, it gets tight and bumpy the further back you go.
