Sites are large enough for privacy and more than big enough for our 26 ft travel trailer with room to spare (site 15).
The campground is extremely well cared for and clean including a very well kept bathhouse. Camp hosts and owner are extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed for three nights in late June. There was a lot of rain, which did not drain quickly, leading to large standing water throughout the campground. We blew our 30 amp breaker, which made me nervous to put any more demand on it. Riverfront access to the peaceful flowing river was nice, with free kayaks canoes and a bench upon which to sit. Thoughtful touches throughout the park reveal a caring owner and staff.
The campground is a special place - one to not spoil. Try it out, you’ll see :-)
Come here with a big rig - call ahead for spaces. They have them but not every site qualifies.
The dump station is on the wrong side but they’ve crafted a nice workaround so it doesn’t suck. Happy to have it.
Big rigs - all rigs - need to make sure to square their entrance turn to line up for entry. The driveway is not wide.

Stayed at this beautiful little private campground for three nights. We had a back-in site for our 21-ft Little Guy Max right on the Penobscot River. It was so peaceful and quiet. The weather was gorgeous. They'll even give you a wheelbarrow load of nice firewood for 10 bucks. Black flies were out but we managed to keep them at bay with Deep Woods Off. We didn't have a screen tent but if you do then you should bring it. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Bathhouse and free showers were immaculate and very comfortable, with great hot water. We didn't partake of the canoes but we plan to next time. Wi-Fi was good at our site, but there is zero cell phone reception until you drive about 4 miles away. It's drivable to Katahdin Woods and Waters National Historic Site and Baxter State Park, both about 20 miles away in different directions. Superette and gas is about 5 miles away. Pine Grove was a super-nice stay and highly recommend it! Definitely going back again as it's only two and a half hours from where I live. A+++

The site I chose (#13) was small and on a little incline, but it was close to the office where the wifi was supposed to be stronger. There are plenty of flatter and larger sites. This is near Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, although I did not have time to drive there. Many of the sites are close to the river (East Branch of the Penobscot), and they have canoes available to use. The wifi was not reliable, but they make that clear in the information before you confirm your reservation. I was still able to do my work, just with some technical hiccups. I was there during the week and there were only a few other groups there, and none along the river. It was so quiet. I stayed here for two nights in back-to-back weeks, and will return when I'm back in the area. This is a good alternative to another campground in Millinocket, but a bit further away from town. It was worth it to me.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights at T3 but after an hour we had to leave. The sites were so close together and we even had an empty site between us. If anyone would have stayed there we would have been practically touching and never mind the parking. We would have been blocked in. We could barely turn our car around on our site. The people at T1 had 3 dogs and all we could smell was dog waste. We called and asked if the site was private as stated on the website and we were assured it was. I know it is non-refundable but we feel like we were deceived. We drove 2 hours to get there and all it did was waste a weekend we rarely get. That is the biggest disappointment.
Laura
We were wondering what happened to you
You should have told us and we would have moved you to a different site. T 3 is a wonderful site and most people love it. We could have given you a site on the pond for no extra charge
I’m sorry we didn’t know that you were unhappy
Katie Deshler
We appreciate that but we did not see any site we would have been happy at. I guess most people are ok with camping on top of each other. That site was far from wonderful. I've camped over 45 years and this was the worst campground I've ever stayed at. Sorry
We love our campground and I remember talking to you. I told you site 101 was by itself but not on the river. Site t3 was the last one one the river with no sites after it. I would suggest a wilderness campsite on the golden road
Take care
You spoke with Todd and we never spoke about site 101. We normally do the Golden Road. Lesson learned.
I’m sorry I talk to about 50 people per day. I never deceive anyone and I’m not going to continue this conversation, I apologize and would have given you a pond site. Nobody is staying on the pond, Lesson learned for both of us.
Are you sorry enough to refund? I should have read the reviews first. It's obvious your place is a scam. Unless you count the local hillbillies there. The pond sites were worse. The website shows huge sites but you count the road and the side of the road as a site. It was run down and disgusting. Good luck. So disgusted!!! I'm done, there are thousands of places better than yours. I'd stay in a Walmart parking lot first. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. You must be an out-of-stater. No worries, no replies needed.
I offered you another site That is what any business would do.
I’ve forwarded your emails to our lawyer to be sure that you will stop slandering our business
seriously? slandering? It's an honest review. wow, you are something
My lawyer will have a field day. False advertising!!
