Made reservation for M online. Luckily, when we pulled in the attendant said “oh you’re not going to like that “ and she relocated us to N 7. M loop is gravel mounds in stickers and ant beds. N is roomy, paved sites in piney woods.
Water is pretty far from parking pad but overall quite nice

The site was clean. Water and electric hookups were close. Reservation was easily made on www.recreation.gov. The camp host was very nice. Showers and restrooms in H area were very clean. This was not a bad place to stay. If you enjoy being right on the water, this place is for you. The sites along the water are packed tight. Groceries... more
The site was clean. Water and electric hookups were close. Reservation was easily made on www.recreation.gov. The camp host was very nice. Showers and restrooms in H area were very clean. This was not a bad place to stay. If you enjoy being right on the water, this place is for you. The sites along the water are packed tight. Groceries, bait, tackle, etc. available approximately 4 miles away. If you enjoy being in the trees, this is not the place for you. The area was patrolled several times throughout the day by park staff. Checkout is 4:00 p.m. Only issue we had was that our outdoor grill on the site was rotted through, broken and lying on the ground covering a very large hole. H12 two spots down from us was a prime spot along the water with a few trees.

Overall Rating
Nearly every site is lake front. L loop has good spacing between sites. Water hook ups for L 11 & 10 are 80-90 feet from your trailer. Dollar General in Valliant has hoses. Great fishing by the dam. Fire rings are a bit beat up. N loop is great for kids and has bathrooms with running water.

Overall Rating
Not near much, closest place for food to supplies is eight miles down the road. Free firewood from camp host. Showers are heated and just a couple of years old. Stayed on the N loop which were pavement leveled. Plenty of space and good swimming.
