The risk of it getting noisy is relatively high, as large groups of campers gather here very often.
Also the risk of ATV/OHW being used here, especially by children/youth, is relatively high. Most of the time the "loop" (Forest Rd 70442c) is used as a race track. If you are too close to it, it is very noisy and very dirty because dust is constantly being kicked up. You have to close your RV windows if you don't want the dust in your RV.
As far as I know, this is even an ATV free zone, but most people don't care.
What I also noticed is that almost no one has their dog on a leash.
Fortunately, there are plenty of other places everywhere a few miles away or across the creek (440A).
Right now, at least part, of Forest Rd 205 / Alturas Creek Rd is being paved.
The weather during the summer is great because of the elevation of 7,020 ft / 2,139 m.
The area between Stanley, ID and Ketchum, ID is beautiful and it looks like you can camp almost anywhere.
I will come back to this area for sure but not to this exact "Perkins Lake Dispersed".
As a Boondocker beginner I have come to understand, if you see ATV/OHV, move on. Apparently these people don't get that their vehicles are always loud and always kicking up dirt.

The meadow along FR440 has a herd of deer that graze everyday during our time here.
the gheens would stay here again

I think we could’ve stayed here for a week!! This BLM land was absolutely free. Easy road to get in. Had our pick of spots along the lake, with fire rings, and only had a couple neighbors that night. So so peaceful, quiet, and beautiful.
Cshels would stay here again
