We stayed for two nights, and it was fairly easy to navigate, we are 76 feet overall, so access is always a concern. Great camp hosts, beautiful peaceful setting. Would definitely return again.

We only stayed one night because we were headed back home. It was a very nice find though. Pretty park with chickens and goats. Plenty of space between sites. We would definitely stay again and stay longer.

Our RV GPS wanted to take us farther east on I-10 to exit 455, but we followed the campground’s (CG) website’s westbound instructions that matched Waze and Google Maps. From Exit 451 to the CG was an easy drive. We were met as we entered the (CG) by the owner, Brenda. We had asked for a satellite-friendly site and she had us going to back-in site 9, but thought we might like a pull through site better. She led the way in her golf cart to look at each of the sites. We stuck with our original plan and took back-in site 9 with FHUs. When we were checking out sites, we were met by the farm’s goats, which was really cool. We had no issues with the utilities and the water pressure was good. Although Brenda had identified a water leak at our site, Robert quickly ensured it wouldn't affect our stay. We got 3 bars on Verizon, and though trees are scattered about in the CG, we had no issues putting out our Starlink. Campsites are nicely spaced apart with a picnic table and fire pit. The only discount they give is military due to their son currently serving. Later after we got set up, Robert and Brenda came by to deliver the farm fresh eggs that we ordered at check-in. At the CG’s quaint little store, you can start a tab for items such as eggs, jams/jellies, ice, and firewood. The store also has hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, soaps, and laundry items. They do not have a laundry but we found a nice one in Junction. They have a very clean shower house. The owners are super accommodating and sincerely care how your stay goes. At the end of your stay, they bill you for any remaining balance for your site and for any items you purchased from the store. There was plenty of space to walk our dogs around the property of this large pecan farm along the river. This was one of the best private CGs we’ve stayed.

We were here for a night in December with our 44ft Toy Hauler. Very convenient place to stay for a night or two. We might come back during spring for warmer temperatures.
The place is nice and quiet, it is close to the i10 but far enough to find peace and relax for a day. (6 minutes off the i10)
A great place and not too expensive for what it offers. Nice and roomy campsite.
They have nice pecan products in a cute little shop.
There are chickens running around and we went to have diner outside from the camp, it was dark when we came back, we saw at least 50 deers!
Toilets are always clean.
If you are looking for a nice camp for a night or more, I recommend it.

As a general rule, we like to stay somewhere a month. At Pecan Valley, we did so, of course not knowing what to expect exactly, as always. We were very pleasantly pleased with our stay, and we will definitely be back. I'll just bullet point out all the pros, followed by one single con.
Pros:
• Quiet. I-10 is across the river branch the CG sits next to, but you really don't hear it unless you're listening for it. You definitely can't see it!
• DEER! Every day, about 6:30'ish the come across the main road, through the pecan orchard, behind the owner's house and equipment areas into a large field. It was so awesome to keep a side window open and holler at the wife: "It's DEER-THIRTY!" (There is also a large heard of Axis deer in the area.) We saw as many as 30 at one time.
• Chickens. Their "rules" state to keep your animals leashed, because the chickens are their pets! They even let you know what is not okay to feed them. We had some oatmeal that we bought that wasn't what we expected, but made great chicken feed. "Chick, chick, chick!" will bring them! I named two of them "Big Elvis" and "Little Elvis" based on the size of the "hair" on their heads (even though they are likely hens.) They are super curious, don't leave your bay doors open! It's fun to watch them taking dirt baths!
• The river is right there! We tried to walk most every day, sometimes up the entrance all the way to the main road, sometimes down past the many-chickens coop and "Goat on a Boat" area, down to the river. When no one else was there, I liked skipping rocks.
• Cute little gift shop. Just write down in the book what you got and pay at the end.
• Owners: Delivery of pecans (regular or candied), firewood, packages. I'm telling you, the owners were so friendly and so awesome, maybe the best we've ever had in 4 years of full-timing. We had gotten one bundle of firewood (just as inexpensive as anywhere, but MORE of it, and it's hardwood), but realized that we likely wanted more. The owners were driving by on their golf cart, parking someone, and I just asked for a couple more bundles when they got a few minutes. Sure enough...about 15 minutes later, they came by in the golf cart with more firewood!
• Drainage. The second-to-last day of our stay (and also right before we arrived), there was a very rainy day. We had gotten back with groceries and it was a torrential downpour. (I took off my tennis shoes in the truck and just muddy-sock-footed the groceries and put them inside.) The rain slowed later, and it was almost back to normal. It rained, again hard, during the night, but tapered off around 2am. When we got up to pack up the rig in the morning, there weren't really any muddy spots. We've been in campgrounds where it's just horrible. Pecan Valley set up their spots correctly!
Cons:
• Tree Sap. Now, this doesn't apply to every spot and, honestly, it's not that big of a deal. Unlike pine sap, the sap from the pecan trees just washes off easily. Every few days when we'd get in the truck, the windshield would look horrible, but a squirt of washer fluid and a couple of wiper wipes and it was perfectly fine. That rainstorm our last day, it washed off the truck completely!
Town Notes:
• Lowe's Grocery store: Not a bad little store for a small town. Much better than I expected.
• Spurs Liquor store: Right on the corner between town and FM 1674 (road to campground). Cute little store, was pleasantly surprised.
• Junction Fuels: If you need diesel, go here. Don't be intimidated by the setup. I just parked, went inside to ask "how it works", then got it handled that time and the rest. You want the "CD" pump (Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel), second unit with pumps 3 and 4. Park at the pump, go to the blue box at the end, enter your pump number and put in your credit card and zip. Maxes at $75, I had to run it twice. Absolutely best price in town, way better than at the corner of I-10. During our stay, most in town were like $4.69 whereas Junction Fuels was $3.99. At one point, it had dropped to $3.97, but no else had dropped at all. This means they are being reactive to market prices. (I believe this is the right propane location, too, though we didn't need it during our stay.)

It worked great with 5G until a distant storm occurred and we had 0 service. It seemed strange that it was so good and then we had nothing, we were told that TMobile does have spotty service in the area. We did go into Junction and we had service again. The park is very pretty with chickens, goats and a very cute General Store. It is right on the South Llano River. The owners were very nice and very hands on!

This park won't be for everyone, but my wife and I love it here. The owners are fantastic people, and the setting among the pecan trees and the river is so peaceful. Some of the sites are close together, and both times we've been here those sites were used by groups of people camping together, so not a problem. We were last here two years ago, and both times we were in the same site, and the site was a little more spacious. We enjoyed seeing the chickens wandering around the property, and there are numerous dear that hang around as well. There is a little road noise from the highway when you are outside your RV, but we couldn't hear the noise at all within the RV.
There are two things this campground doesn't have, if that matters to you. One is wi-fi, but for us the T-Mobile 5g signal was strong enough. The other is a dog run, but there is more than enough open space to walk your dogs that we don't see this as an issue.
We will be back!

Not a lot of deep shade where we were, but grassy spots that were shadier were also prime free range chicken turf, and of course peppered with chicken poop, which we wanted to keep the dog from rolling in. She gave us 5 eggs for free since we didn't have room in our fridge for a whole dozen! The river is some distance away, and though it was recommended, we didn't let our dog swim in it due to the amount of algae. Very quiet night's sleep away from the noise of I-10. Tons of deer. Bath house was on the rustic side but very clean. Your best option if traveling this route, and worth the small detour. No wifi, no OATV, 4 bars Verizon.
