“Campground seems like a bit of an afterthought, but pretty setting”

When speaking with the county parks office to make a reservation I understood it was $25 and that the site had electricity. I showed up and the electric box was locked, and there was no water. I drove around the lake to the area by the ballfields and just happened to notice the rangers cart by the closed concessions shed. (I was told to pay when I arrived BTW). I asked the ranger about the electrical box and she said that was $10 more. So $35 for a county park with no water or dump. OH, well, I was here and it was a pretty setting. There are 4 sites (3 actually since it appears one is occupied by park attendants/host/ranger, though there was no sign). Each site had a nice big fire pit, grill, picnic table, and modern electrical box though I couldn't see inside.
To get to the campground you have to take an immediate left at the entrance to the park onto a narrow gravel road that goes west then north along the periphery. Then a quick turn once you get to the very NW corner of the park to access the sites. This whole process might be tricky for a bigger rig. Sites are under tall mature trees, with minimal road noise, and reasonably level gravel though the layout puts either the electrical box or the table, or firepit on the wrong side. All the park facilities are on the opposite (east side) of the lake and are very nicely maintained. This includes a small boat ramp, kayak rentals, rental pavillions, a ball field, volleyball, horseshoes, corn hole, playground, trail around the entire lake, and swimming beach (water seemed very low).
There is one water spigot right in front of the dugouts - easy to find if you know where to look. Just hope there aren't any big vehicles parked right in front of it or it might be hard to reach unless you have a long hose. AT&T 4G reception was very spotty at first but after several restarts, I got 10 DL and about 1 UL. T-Mobile was only 3G at best.
This time of year was perfect for camping without AC (only 80 during the day, low 50s overnight) so I ended up paying $25 just to park for the night. I'm sure the nice resort on the opposite side of the highway was a lot more. But having a few more amenities for that price & some additional information (and a more robust cell signal, like in Ithaca) would have made this a bit nicer.
