Parkview is essentially just a place with hookups to park for the night. While the hookups are nice there are no other amenities and we have not been able to get onto the WiFi. The area itself is also just fine; it is maintained well enough, but is prone to some really bad flooding when it rains.
One strangest parts about this park is the fact that they have no website and only operate a Facebook page. Stranger still is the fact that we had to make our reservation over the phone and mail in a physical check. This just seems like a very odd way off conducting business in this day in age.
This is, as I said, a functional place to park for the night, but is really nothing more.

We were traveling south and needed an overnight place to stop using our Passport America membership. There are no amenities at this park, it's essentially a place to park your RV while visiting the nearby Appomattox historic site. There are a limited number of sites, all long pull-throughs with full services (water, electric and sewer). The campground is flat and mostly devoid of trees, the gravel sites are all reasonably level. There are no restrooms nor showers at the campground hence the requirement all RV's must be self-contained. The campground was very noisy as it's adjacent to a major highway and interchange. It didn't affect us in November as our windows were closed but it would be noticeable in the summer if you wanted to sit outside.
The chief attraction of this campground is the historic Appomattox site; the American Civil War Museum is a five minute walk away and it adjoins the Appomattox Historical Park. The park advertised free Wi-Fi but we couldn't access it.
The above rate was the Passport America rate; otherwise the campground would cost $48. Without Passport America we would not return - too pricey unless we were Civil War buffs.
