Other reviews are still accurate. Pull off the highway, pick your spot (limited shade) and pay Don when he comes by in his golf cart. Spots are grassy and flat.
The road goes quiet at night
Great spot on your way to and from the mountains

There is a small playground. 2 rows of 20 RVs each and tents can camp in the middle. There is a small bathhouse with toilets and showers. Cash only, fill our the envelope and slid it through the slot in the office door.
We picked an empty spot, #9 but noticed there was no access to the breaker and figured it was just a hot circuit. After nothing worked, we called the office, as no one was in. We spoke with the owner who said that site had electrical issues and so is not available. He advised that 1, 5, and 11 were available for overnight stays. We parked in #1, right next to the dumpsters and close to the bathrooms on the street side. The site was pretty level front to back, a little slanted toward the passenger side but, not enough that we had to unhitch. All sites are pull through. Once set up, the owner came out to greet us and was very sweet. We were hoping to see the museum but it got late fast after a long day of driving and another coming in the morning.

It is quiet, clean, well maintained, and even has trees, which are hard to find in the area. It's out of town about 7 miles, but close enough to be convenient. It is primarily long stay residents, and has a basic bath house, very simple and clean. Small playground, & covered picnic area with grill. Stayed there going and coming for trip to New Mexico, and can recommend if you don't expect fancy.

Panhandle Campground is the place to go.
Deadheading from Las Vegas, NV to Philadelpha, PA we needed a place to stop for the night to sleep, eat, and relax.
We decided to take route 54 a 2 lane highway that does run through some small towns but over all a great way to go. There are campgrounds along the way but we decided to stay at Panhandle Campground. When we called the owner he was very helpful and very nice, giving us all the instructions we needed.
We pulled in just before sunset and we sat in the front of our RV and enjoyed the view across the open field. The office was closed but the instruction were very clear. Slip and money in the envelope and popped it in the slot. Full hook ups and you pay for what you use.
This was a very clean easy place to stop for the night. You are right on route 64 and you can hear the traffic but there wasn’t much so we slept very well.

Campground was clean and everything is self check in. We did call ahead to make sure there was vacancy. The only downside is it appeared the Verizon cell tower was overloaded, because although we had 2-3 bars, it was SLOW even with a booster.
Overall, would stay here again if it made sense. By the way, it is $3 additional per person (for over 2 people) per day, but this applies to adults only. Kids are not extra.

Needed a stop off after all day on the road (hwy 270 out of Woodward was no fun as road needs serviced bad) and generator problems. Only had 30 amp avail while I was here (50 being serviced) but that was still great. 36” class A with tow for 54” and they had room. Overall this is a nice place right off the road and room to maneuver.
