We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. There was no one else here. It’s a short drive off the highway on a good road.
The obvious parking area is nice and level.
We would stay there again.

Coming north on hwy 395 we decided last minute to continue north on hwy 31and glad we did. Running out of daylight and looking for a camp spot, we pulled over in Paisley, opened compendium and saw the airport listed. Coming north on hwy 395 we decided last minute to continue north on hwy 31and glad we did. Running out of daylight and looking for a camp spot, we pulled over in Paisley, opened compendium and saw the airport listed. Headed north out of town and easily found the airport sign and a short distance we could see a rotating airport light. Easy turn off hwy onto a graded gravel road, through 2 cattle guards and into a good sized level parking area, airport is thru a gate and clearly marked not to go thru. We parked, and set up camp. Sunset view was incredible. There is room here for multiple any size rig and room to maneuver. If you like star gazing and shooting stars, this is the place to do it. Step outside at night and it is pitch black. Light wind came up around midnight, and air was calm again before light. A helicopter landing on airport woke us up. Looked to be practicing take off and landings. After breakfast we watched an antelope walk by grazing and she later returned to retrieve her days old baby from the brush where she parked him. They came closer together the she parked him again and she waked off grazing with a watchful eye on the youngster. We enjoy camping in wildlife areas where they can interact with us I. Their natural habitat. This site is gravel, level, with no water available, no fire rings, no shelters, no picnic tables, just a nice quiet place to stay for free with great views. No litter at all. Could not locate any hiking trails. Town is less than two miles. Very lite traffic on hwy. Temp at night got down to 43, and at 1:15pm it was 64 degrees. Our kind of place and adding this to our list of places to stay again.

Overall Rating
Stayed here for 1 night after getting a flat on our RV and being delayed. VERY empty but close to the highway and was grateful for the spot recommended on here.
