It appears the FHU sites are handicap accessible. Do you have to have a placard to stay in these spaces?

Another great state park, beautiful area, super nice campground. Staff very friendly, full hook ups all good, bathrooms and laundry very nice. Close for day trips to both Telluride and Ouray. Sites were level and paved, nice table and fire rings

This park is clean with space between the sites. Nice firepit and BBQ. Laundry facilities were reasonable and worked well. The only downside is no cell service for Tmobile or Verizon.
Wish the state would put wifi in or contract it out, If you go into town you can find wifi.

We had a great view of the mountains! The laundry facilities are very nice here. Many nice paved paths to walk and lots of possible fishing spots! The only downside is the cell signal is very weak. You can go up to the gate and get a Verizon signal. Montrose has everything you could need within a 20 minute drive. There was a $9 daily fee that we had to pay when we arrived. That made our total for the site 50.

The sites were well taken care off and each site has plenty of room. The campground is easy to get to and the pads are pretty flat.

The town of Ridgway has a nice ($$$) grocery store, and lots of tourists. We were coming off the Dolores River, so this felt like a big city to me.
Bottom line: it's a nice, clean park. Great for kids. Cute fishing holes and fly fishing. If you're a city slicker, you'll love it!

But the roads and sites are asphalt, well maintained and the campground is beautiful set right next to the mountains. We could hear a little road noise through the night from the highway but not too loud.
Full hookups (50amp power, 50psi water, sewer). Good location for driving back into Montrose or up the mountains to Ridgway or even further to Ouray or Telluride.

We sat out on our patio overlooking the lake and enjoyed our propane fire pit in the evenings. We saw deer walking around a few times too. Great birding in the area and they enjoyed our feeder. Lots to do in the campground with trails and lake activities. Lots of people fly fishing. We got lucky during fall leaf peeping time and the colors were just gorgeous. Large spacious and clean laundry facility which is rare in a state park system. The town of Montrose is about 20 miles away and has just about everything you might need. And a day trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park isn’t too far away.
